Electioneering campaign is always interesting to watch. The orators say a lot agreeable without communicating. Every method to cajol the people is employed.

One similarity in Nigeria's former president Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 and US sitting president Donald Trump's campaign rallies is the unending mention of the opposition candidate. Their tatics is more of campaign against the other candidate than campaign for yourself.

"Buhari will drag us back. Buhari is too desperate. Buhari has not improved himself" were some of rhetorics in 2015. Trump keep saying what Joe Biden would do than what he plans to do. "Sleepy Joe will destroy the economy. Sleepy Joe is China puppet. Joe Biden will destroy the suburbs."

This method seems to make the opposition evil especially when they've been in power before yet impresses their names and authority in the voters' mind. How it will affect this election, we'd wait to see!

In all fairness Jonathan is far more mature with his campaign and conduct than Trump,

Jonathan never called Buhari names, he never said anything bad about Buhari's Family, all this Trump did

Jonathan's only fault was not cautioning his supporters to conduct themselves properly, and his 6 years achievements were just not enough again Boko Haram daily bombing didn't help matters especially when he had to postpone a General election because of insecurity

Buhari did the same but it was for them to prepare to rig

Trump did not perform badly as a president but he is unfit to be POTUS with his reckless attitude to important things
