Nigerian music superstar, Davido has taken to his Twitter account to condemn the recent happenings across the nation.

After the Lekki tollgate protest went south, there’s been series of looting and destruction of both private and government properties in different cities of the country.

Davido aired his displeasure via a tweet Sunday thus;

“It is painful that what started as a peaceful protest has been hijacked and turned into complete anarchy, in total disrespect to those that lost their lives during the peaceful protest. This is def not the way to honour those that lost their lives while protesting peacefully.”

What is there to gain from burning and looting private businesses that provide employment to our own people?? Or burgling or burning houses belonging to innocent citizens?! Or burning buses that our own people depend on for transport to go to work and go about their lives

“Why burn police stations, when one of our demands was better police welfare and training Please stop stop stop stop! It all makes no sense whatsoever !! If you know anybody partaking in this, tell them to stop!!”

The singer added;

“We need a country where there is law and order for us to make any real change !!! Please stop!”

Every protest or struggle started by the Nigerian youth in Lagos will definitely be hijacked by these groups of cultists and gangsters..They have the numbers, the command and control structure and the latent official backing.. having been used in elections rigging and political wars.The idea of leaving the genuine protests to attack malls and warehouses started right there in Lagos before providing enough template for other hoodlums in other states to follow.. As long as nothing is done about Awawa boys and the one million boys and co, the story will be the same next protests..

And there are more pressing issues before the LASG angry

Too early to stop. Let's burn down and loot everywhere.

He was happy when TVC and TheNation were attacked and burned to ashes. He was happy when BRT buses and the palace of Oba of Lagos were attacked and looted.

Now that there is no Tinubu property to attack again, they have descended on private properties and nobody is safe again. Now, they want law and order to be restored after losing control to the mob. The criminality you all enabled is now a hydra-headed monster. It’s about to turn around and start consuming those that enabled and incited the carnage.

They were playing with matches near fuel and were laughing.... When the fuel exploded they are now running around in terror.

They forget that there are repercussions for whatever action one takes.....

The frog voice has resurrected. He kept inciting the mob to destroy the country that the end is near. Meanwhile, he like other emergency activists and revolutionaries are all hiding safely with their family in a mansion. Let him enter street unaccompanied if his peaceful protesters will not loot him dry. The police should stay far away from Davido-linked properties. Let him enjoy the company of his fellow peaceful looters.
