French footballer Paul Pogba has slammed reports claiming that the star had quit the national team as a mark of protest after the recent comments of the French president Emmanuel Macron on Islam being the source of international terrorism.

Earlier a British tabloid had reported that Pogba had quit the team after the comments by the French leader on Friday.

The news later spread like wildfire on social media and left a lot of the Manchester United star’s fans surprised.
