Customs are doing their job in Lagos here. Only the regular Police have abandoned their jobs. Mobile Police are seen moving around in a convoy. This news is fake.

don't know why they have to close the border in the first place if not to suffer people.

Is it paper they will use to buy the so called cheaper items

You're suffering because you didn't realize that border closure is an opportunity for you to prosper. You buy rice from Thailand but you have nothing to sell back to Thailand because you're lazy and a fraudulent opportunist. The only thing Nigerians do in Thailand is romance scam and drug.

If there is no demand, smugglers will be out of business. There is a reason why they still trive. Keep beating around the bush.

Nigeria today under general Buhari, can best be described as rudderless. Anyway, it's like the people have found their groove back. They will take back their pound of flesh.

but, is custom supposed to be seizing things at Agbara? Is Agbara sharing boundary with any border country? I believe custom seizing banned goods should stop and end the bridge before Badagry (coming from seme). Is not right for somebody to buy something inside Lagos Nigeria (which is Badagry) and got seized at agbara.

many rice millers, middlemen has become hoarders of rice awaiting December to make a kill.

This is a welcome development, this should have government way of calming the masses, because the hunger in Nigeria is worrisome, please let all borders open for inflow of food across the nation to minimize the hunger and suffering of the masses.
The NEC should allows border open

You've said it all bro...I don't understand why the government will believe that banning staple foods will magically make us self sufficient in their production...
