What is it in political islam that forbids Yoruba from heading the Muslim Council of Nigeria?

Ibadan had muslims and alfas long before sokoto. I even heard, surprisingly that Islam had been in Lagos since the 1740s. Fulani did not setup jihad in Nigeria until early 1800s.

Why is Fulani headship of Muslim Council in Nigeria permanent and non-negotiable?

When we bring up this discussion fulani never give us an answer but yoruba always resoond. Their response is usually, that muslim is a brotherhood and no discrimination. They are all one umah.

So if you are brothers why cant fulani share the position with muslim brothers in Ibadan, Iwo, Osogbo?

I would like to see a Yoruba as Sultan of Sokoto and head of Muslim Council in my lifetime.
