Ask him where his children school and he will start giving stories

This man is just sick

No shame at all
Abi, if the minister of education can't entrust the education of his children to a system he oversees, then I don't know what else to say.

our youths should be on #endasuustrike agitation by now! What is NANS really about! The other day I saw a NANS official number plate marked "presidency" and was sad about that. Not surprised NANS is prostrate and inept.

It means the App is a shit and needs scrapping. If a teller is fond of making excess payment to customers, same will be declared as incompetent and shown the way out as quickly as possible. But because its govt money they can make as many mistake as possible since its national cake. On the other hand what if the beneficiaries were not so generous with truth, and decided to keep the excess payment without speaking up?

Both sides are now behaving like kids.

If IPPIS was too good, why was it paying excessively?

Imagine, iregularities in workers salaries. Some got less, some got excess .

So people salary now na game of LUCK.

This is time to avoid another protest b4 it start but the dumb government don't have a good sight. When e don start b4 them go they look for solution up and down.

The students will not not stay home for good 12 month without a protest oo. Them just they count the months for now. Wait till next year the protest u think u have stopped will errupt mightily if nothing I done to address this issues on ground.

You didn't read the post of the OP!

The Minister said that IPPIS is faulty : the software not only underpaid some lecturers, it overpaid others.

ASUU gave them an alternative and they are insisting it has to be the faulty IPPIS or nothing.

Are there no standard procedures to follow? How come there's gross irregularities just to implement a payroll system

Ippis is just like any other system, at the initial time, there'll be irregularities. However, as time goes on, it'll be fixed.
My lecturer friend was over-paid, but the surplus was subsequently deducted . ASUU just want to keep students at home.

And you are admitting it! If IPPIS is efficient, it will neither overpay or underlay anyone. Sir, your claim just validated ASUU's point.

Bro, at this point in time education is no longer a top priority for me oo. Education-wise, P.H.D is the only thing I have not achieved thus far which is not a big deal for me.

I just pity the level of incompetence in Nigeria.

The same system discovered the error, ASUU wants to go back or bring a system where they can as well overpay themselves and no one is the wiser.

Over 450 MDAs are aready on IPPIS, only ASUU wants to form stubbornness, moreover, government employed each lecturer as a person and not as ASUU. A time will come where FG will ask all VCs to reopen schools with the lecturers under their employment then the cultural group called ASUU or ASUN can continue holding themselves hostage.

Yes, the honorable minister shot himself in the leg by affirming that IPPIS is faulty. By submitting that some lecturers were underpaid while some overpaid, ASUU has been vindicated. However, he lied by stating that lecturers are being owed. The truth of the matter is that the so called payment he referred to happened when the president yeilded to pressure and asked that lecturers not on IPPIS be paid to cushon the effect of covid 19. However, immediately ASUU anounced that UTAS was ready, FG stopped further payment. Hence lecturers not on IPPIS are being owed from July to date. We all should appreciate the fight that ASUU is putting up. GOD forbid, should ASUU lose this battle, students will pay through their noses to go to school. This is part of what ASUU is trying to prevent. The onus lies on Nigerian students now to join ASUU in preventing this devilish govt from decimating Nigerian public tertiary educational system.

Some Lecturers got excess salary and had to refund, ineptitude and incompetence is becoming a normal thing under this government. The annoying part of it is that they no longer hide their cluelessness. What a shame!

The question is, why is ASSUU afraid of IPPPSS
Honestly, it is clear that some people are eating behind the door and do not want their face to be seen
Let the salary of ASSUU have a human face!

This is the only way to lessen the yearly hue and cry for non-payment of salary to deny our children their rightful education

And senators are not paid in excess?
At this point ASUU strike should be indefinite.
