If you don't understand their election process, keep quiet. The voters determine the electoral college, the electoral college determines who becomes the president. Is that too difficult to understand. 1 Like |

Davash222:in the electoral college system, every state has a number of votes awarded to it based on its population. Any candidate who wins a state by popular votes, even if by margin of 1 vote takes all the votes of the electoral college awarded that state (except in Nevada where it is shared). Texas has electoral college vote of 38. So Trump winning there gives him electoral college vote of the whole 38 1 Like

chukel:Nevada doesn't share college votes. It's a winner takes it all in Nevada with 6 college votes. Only 2 states share college votes among the candidates in proportion of their votes. Maine and Nebraska 2 Likes |

To become president, you don't actually need to win the popular vote. Instead, a candidate has to win the majority in a system called the electoral college, where each state gets a certain number of votes or "electors" roughly in proportion to its population. 1 Like |
