If we forget to blame GEJ for handing over $67bn debt, we must not forget to blame Buhari for handing over $84bn debt.

GEJ got away with murder. Nobody remembers the huge debt, pitiful forex reserves and huge contractor liabilities he left behind even with the advantage of very high oil prices during his tenure. I guess most social media commentators have short memories.

Nigeria has debts in part because the oil that is our major earner never reaches a price that can sustain our budget without some borrowing
