Several prominent leaders who have maintained warm relations with Donald Trump have remained notably silent following Biden's win.

While many world leaders were quick to congratulate Joe Biden on his US election victory, others have appeared not so pleased.

Several prominent figureheads who have maintained warm relations with President Donald Trump have remained notably silent following the Democrat's historic win alongside his running mate Kamala Harris.

President Jair Bolsonaro of Brazil, nicknamed "Trump of the Tropics" for his shared brusque style, has been a close ally and friend of the US leader.

Mr Bolsonaro even took aim at Mr Biden following the first TV debate in the presidential race after the former vice president said Mr Trump needed to push Brazil to do more to protect the Amazon.

But Mr Bolsonaro is said to be distancing himself from Mr Trump after the election result, reportedly saying he is "not the most important person in the world", according to The Washington Post.

"The most important person is God," Mr Bolsonaro was quoted as saying.

There has also been no immediate reaction from Russian President Vladimir Putin, who was friendly with Mr Trump.

He waded into Mr Trump's impeachment trial last year, defending the president and describing the situation as "far-fetched" and "fabricated".

Mr Trump sparked outrage on both sides of the political dive in Washington following his first summit with Mr Putin.

The US president was accused of "treasonous" behaviour during a 2018 news conference with his Russian counterpart in Finland, in which he contradicted his own intelligence officials over alleged meddling by Moscow in the election that put him in the White House.

The Saudi crown prince was slow to publicly congratulate Mr Biden.

On Sunday - more than 24 hours after the race was called for Mr Biden - King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the crown prince congratulated the president-elect and vice president-elect, according to state news agency SPA.

The crown prince enjoyed a warm relationship with Mr Trump, who offered his backing following the murder of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

Mr Khashoggi, a staunch critic of the Saudi rulers, was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul in October 2018, having entering to obtain documents so he could marry his Turkish fiancee.

As worldwide suspicion fell upon Saudi Arabia, Mr Trump said the US would not punish the kingdom financially.

In the homeland of First Lady Melania Trump, Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa congratulated Mr Trump on a victory before all votes were counted.

He has continued to show support despite Mr Biden being announced the winner.

A bronze statue of Melania Trump stands in Rono, a village neighbouring her hometown Sevnica Other leaders that have openly supported Mr Trump during his term have not taken the same attitude, however.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, whose Twitter profile picture shows him sitting beside Mr Trump, offered his congratulations to Mr Biden and described him as a friend of Israel.

He added that he was looking forward to working with him and Mrs Harris to strengthen the "special alliance" between the two countries.

In a separate statement, he thanked Mr Trump for raising US-Israeli relations to "unprecedented heights".

Boris Johnson, a close ally of Mr Trump, offered his congratulations to Joe Biden
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, another ally of Mr Trump, shared a statement praising Mr Biden's running mate and vice president-elect Ms Harris on her "historic achievement".

He added: "The US is our most important ally and I look forward to working closely together on our shared priorities from climate change to trade and security."

Every sensible leader treading with caution...supreme court is by the corner..
Anything can happen.
If the supreme court rules in favour of Trump, heaven will NOT fall. All the rats will crawl back to their holes once the cat is back.
The worst that could happen is the insignificant sponsored protests by fraudulent democrats & their media-allies after all the 71m votes Trump got were not from China.
If by any chance Biden scales through eventually after the legal battle, congrats to him.

Not congratulating Biden won't change anything.

Every World Leader just like all of us are mere Creatures....
No Matter the Position or Power we feel we wield, we all are Nothing but Dust!

What Matters is Who Does GOD ALMIGHTY Congratulate?
Who among the two Will GOD put as President for the next term?

US Media has Picked theirs!

Between now and January 20th we all will know GOD'S Choice!

Lol media projected winner isn't the same as official winner. They will congratulate him if/when he's officially named the winner. CNN don't have the power to crown anyone winner

These same people would have advised an African President to accept deficit... it’s obvious our “wicked” leaders in Africa are learning from these people.

If you actually read the bible well, you will know God does not suppress the will of majority when it comes to leadership even when people clearly reject the leadership and authority of God (reminds me of Samuel). Accomplishing HIS purpose is not hinged on a man that lacks basic character and empathy for others. God will surely accomplish His purpose with or without Trump.

US media have always called the election before now, so Trump is not bigger than the tradition. And the USA media will continue to call the election after this year.

God bless you richly brother.
That guy is nothing but a fanatic. I don't understand the choice of God that he was talking about, in the bible, when the people wanted King didn't GOD give them one even when He wasn't OK by that.
