US Election: China declines to acknowledge ‘Biden victory’

China declined Monday to congratulate Joe Biden as the winner of the US presidential election, saying the outcome of the vote was still to be determined.


While incumbent Donald Trump has yet to concede and has launched several legal challenges, many world leaders congratulated Biden and running mate Kamala Harris after the Democrats were declared winners at the weekend and spontaneous celebrations erupted across American cities.

Trump’s four years in the White House have been marked by a costly trade war and increasingly icy relations with China, with the two powers sparring over areas from blame for the Covid-19 pandemic to Beijing’s human rights record in Xinjiang and Hong Kong.

this is how it's supposed to be
there are many uncertainty still surrounding the election and it's only wise to Congratulate when every electoral process has be exhausted.

This is not Nigeria that has weak Judiciary
we're talking about a country with the strongest judiciary system in the world
so the wise only knows this that's why they're waiting for the right time to congratulate Biden.

It's not a must to concede defeat when other options are left.

If there's any ounce of sincerity in you. You wouldn't call it too. Let it be free and fair. If Trump's goes to court and he loses and all evidences are trashed. Then you can call it too

What do you expect? Despite the cold economic war going on between china and US, china is winning, besides, the power struggle between china, US and Russia would mean that china would prefer a president who'll destroy the country from within. Same strategy the US have always adopted.
