Is it not disgraceful the monies were wired from here without a trace to a criminal sect that has killed in millions directly and indirectly, but a country out of sympathy and goodwill decided to help. You should be asking for intels from UAE so you can help your citizens and soldiers live long lives.

Its amazing the CBN, immigration, Police and courts are not as swift as they were with the endsars protesters bank accounts, passports, detainment and court injunction for over 4 years, for a matter that has consumed over 30% of the nations resources with $1bn going to tucano jets paid in 2018, to be delivered in 2021.

The CBN/EFCC have been check mating international transfers leaving the country beyond a threshold, while at a time reducing card daily limit withdrawals, but almost $800,000 terrorist funds and ransoms went through without a red flag.

Bokoharam is definitely a cash cow to certain political interests..

APC government is bokoharam sponsor

Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Abike Dabiri-Erewa says the six Nigerians who were jailed in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for funding Boko Haram can appeal to the Supreme Court if they wish.

She tweeted this on Monday following a report by Daily Trust about the reaction of the convicts’ families.

Igbere TV reports that Surajo Muhammad and Saleh Adamu were jailed for life while Ibrahim Alhassan, AbdurRahman Musa, Bashir Yusuf and Muhammad Isa were sentenced to 10 years in prison each to be followed by deportation.

https://twitter.com/abikedabiri/status/1325807581802196999?s=20

A court found the Nigerians guilty of setting up a Boko Haram cell in the UAE to raise funds and material assistance for the insurgents in Nigeria, Igbere TV reports.

It also heard they transferred up to $800,000 in favour of Boko Haram between 2015 and 2016.

A Court of Appeal upheld the 2019 judgement by a lower court.

Nigerians had better be wise about the scheme of this government. Government that is quick to supress or kill every democratic value that we from right to live to human dignity but support terrorism, acts of terrorism and unrest.

The use security forces to clamp down on innocent citizens whose only crime is to demand an end to bad governance while terrorist and allies are having a rampage free day. How can one chairman be giving expo to convicts on how to evade justice but they looking for endsars promoters and protesters to face justice! I don't understand. It is a party thing I presume or those guys are used to launder money out of Nigeria or into Nigeria by some officials of these government.

This is wickedness o and Nigerians must resist this

The money was wired. The recipient(s) must have a face and a name. Can the journey of the cash be traced to fish out the Boko Haram members who collected it or, force the sponsors to list the names of their benefactors and their hideouts?

A world class country did thorough investigation and found evidence, then sentenced the culprits to jail terms and the best Nigeria government can say or come up with is to tell the culprits they can take up the case to Supreme Court here in Nigeria? Abeg who exactly swear for Nigeria? Abi na padlock with red and white rope tied to it them use lock this country?

To think that the army chief once boasted that it is not his job to name the sponsors of Boko Haram. Where else in the world can a security chief say that?

Do you honestly believe the authorities in Nigeria don't already know the sponsors?

It's obviously some elements in the government don't want this war to end and those elements are the government itself. So I'm not surprised. We are not ready for this end I sincerely tell you.

As unpleasant as what Abike Dabiri-Erewa said may appear to some people, what she said is in order. She is the chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, and she is simply doing her job in this instance.

Though not stated, she was most probably referring to The Federal Supreme Court of the United Arab Emirates. The Supreme Court of Nigeria does not have the power to overturn the judgement of a Court of Appeal in the United Arab Emirates.
Re: Boko Haram: 6 Nigerians Jailed In UAE Can Approach Supreme Court – Abike Dabiri by nograv: 10:55am On Nov 10, 2020
I dont agree with the Biafran movement. But did Nnamdi Kano not say this, that Boko Haram had sponsors in the Northern political elite..

How else can you explain that within a week of the EndSars protests accounts were being frozen and people arrested. But regarding Boko Haram no sponsors were ever found and no accounts frozen..

He was right on this issue, Southern people make note of this discrepancy..

The real shame is that it took a foreign govt who actually has a weak record on money laundering to spot these activity and arrest them..

Mtchew come 2023 you know what to do.. Throw them out.. Ditto PDP if they dont offer a decent southern candidate..
