Mikehot: oil aside they still won't divide, how would their landlocked desert get access to seas and shipping ? From Sokoto to Lagos could be the same distance from Sokoto to Cotonou in Benin Republic. Arewa Republic would have built two railway lines and laid pipe from Sokoto to Cotonou. |

You have not seen anything yet, wait until they discover oil in the north in commercial quantity, then you will understand why they say, "FEAR NORTH" |

November1857: It is stupid to question Zandra state over Gold. Ask for true federalism |
Re: Okowa: It Is Unlawful For Zamfara To Control Gold by NGpatriot: 2:25pm On Nov 12, 2020 |
Aarenasbaba: 1. Zamfara state is not controlling or mining gold because gold under the ground belongs to the federal government. 2. Zamfara is buying gold from government approved gold miners. 3. Zamfara is storing gold in form of economic investment and financial investment. 4. This opportunity is available to every Nigerian and state government including you and the ignorant governor from Delta 5. Zamfara is making credible and legal economic moves that many states in Nigeria should be copying. 6. The governor in Delta state is also capable setting up an oil company to buy oil, refine oil, sell oil or do whatever they want wirth oil, it's not different from what they are doing in Zamfara. Now, who is the illiterate? Sounds like you are. This is the problem with many of you, Zamfara is making legal and credible economic independence moves while you sit their crying and complaining over opportunities that are available to you too as a citizen, but you think the Northerners are dumb illiterates when in fact you are. They are obviously smarter than you. |

omenka: Omenka, Plz shut ur bloody hypocrite mouth. I thought you would address the issue here ( the hypocrisy and nepotism of this administration by allowing Zamfara state to mine its gold while southern states oil is treated as national assets) Meanwhile, why do you refer to yourself as from the south? Are you not from Benue state anymore? 1 Like |

In as much as the oil n gas is still pumping, nothing else will make the federal government look into other available mineral deposit... Alot have said in revitalization of Ajaokuta steel and mining company but they give it a deaf ear because Niger Delta is still fetching them oil. It high time every states or region take control of whatever deposit they found in their State. |

NGpatriot:I'm aware there is good gold in your state osun, please encourage your state govenor to do the exact same thing zamfara is doing, if he gets away with it without FG hounding him, I will open a thread and publicly apologize to you, but until that happens you remain a useful southern ediot for your paymasters in the Sahel. 2 Likes 1 Share |

This is one important case that I was expecting Nigerians to handle with all seriousness without bowing to pressure but no one is paying attention, it has been down played and the government is doing everything to justify it. A state is controlling natural resources and the CBN is saying they are buying it from them, also the governor of the state is lying that he is not controlling it meanwhile the governor and his state is controlling the deposits of Gold found in the state and we are quiet about it. This is tantamount to controlling crude oil produced by a state by the state and the state governor is that not the act of playing on the intelligence of the people by the gvt and the fed gvt? |

Coldie:Would you sharap your mouth there. YORUBAs won't fight another civil war with the north. This time, it will be the different southern regions fighting for their lands, any Northerner caught in the south would be slaughtered, go ask your fathers how OPC dealt with them. History would certainly repeat itself. |

That's how it starts go ask Sierra Leone Congo Liberia and the rest they never recover face your Geo political zone. We don't want war. |

GidiCars:The Yoruba's aren't that foolish to go to war with Nigeria. Don't be like the rest from the other sides, but if shit comes to shove what happened at end SARS protest in Lagos will be child's play to what will happen to Yoruba land. Nigeria has come to stay get that into all your skulls. You can't compare mining of gold to oil, where was the south when Nigeria's money was used to develop the oil industry? Tell me one southern state that developed its oil industry on its own? |
