Temidayo Akinsuyi, Lagos

Yerima Shettima, National President, Arewa Youth Consultative Forum (AYCF) has said the long arm of the law will soon catch up with Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) over the inciting statements he is making against Nigeria outside the country.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Independent, Shetimma said inflammatory statements by Kanu led to the destructions of public and private assets that trailed the #EndSARS protests in Lagos, Abuja, Rivers and other parts of the country.

He further challenged Kanu to be bold enough and return to the country to lead the war if indeed he is serious about the realisation of Biafra Republic.

He said “Nnamdi Kanu is a nonentity who thinks because he is outside the country; he can be making inciting statements. He is just a rabble rouser and a talkative that doesn’t deserve any importance and mention. If he is bold enough, he should return to the country and make noise”.

“ In fact, he is one of the evil people who messed up the #EndSARS protest. He will be remembered for this and no matter how far he thinks he has gone, the long arms of the law will soon catch up with him”.

“Nemesis of those who died as a result of the evil he has perpetrated and the law of karma will soon catch up with him. He will never go unpunished. It is just a matter of days”.

Speaking further, Shetimma said it is unfortunate that Amnesty International and the Western world has continued to harbour Kanu and refused to speak out against the atrocities being committed against Nigeria by the IPOB leader .
“It is just unfortunate that despite all the evil he is committing, Amnesty International doesn’t see anything wrong about it. The United Nation and the Western World have not seen anything wrong about it also”.

“Would they have allowed him if he was inciting people of their country? Yet, he is there in their country perpetrating this evil against a sovereign nation like Nigeria and they are busy talking about another issue entirely rather than looking at the source of that trouble. It is very unfortunate” he said.

Shettima is a very unintelligent man. Does he think the international community are stupid?

You are talking about Nnamdi Kanu making inciting statements but you have not made any statement against Fulani terrorist herdsmen killing people all over the place

You are talking about the law reaching Nnamdi Kanu but you have never said anything about the law reaching killer herdsmen and all the armed bandits roaming the North

Someone should tell Yerima Shettima that compared to what armed Northern elements like killers herdsmen, Boko haram and ISWAP have done, Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB are a non starter. Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB have not done 1% of what the other groups have done.

Someone that is cowardly enough who didn't attend his parent burial despite the love that coexist between son and his parent he is the one that you are calling to lead a protest?

Kanu love his life more than anything, he can't bear to loose even a pinch of his nail because of Biafra... he is only inciting some of the lazy and brainwashed Igbo youth to sustain his financial institution called IPOB that has nothing to offer the region but a continues lost of lives.
Your chief of army staff did not attend his own mother's burial too.
A whole chief of army staff oo.
Your commander in chief could not travel home during sallah too.

Ok you mean we should allow Kanu and IPOB to reached the level of destruction caused by Boko Haram and Bandits or killer Herdsmen before calling them in to order

Both Kanu/IPOB, Boko Haram, Niger Delta militants, Bandits, kidnappers and killer herdsmen are terrorist and should be condemn by well meaning and patriotic Individuals for peace to prosper in our nation

Yerima Shetima is on the same table of inciting statements like Nnamdi Kanu, the only reason the buffoon is still walking around free is because of the nepotistic government of Muhammadu Buhari cool

Kanu’s and IPOB Problem is they’re bigots and struggle with having allies...they’re extremely uncouth, he has tapped into the pain of some igbos and recruited them to share insults uncontrollably.

The authorities say IPOB are armed, yet nobody has ever seen IPOB with arms except the authorities

The authorities say IPOB is a terrorist group, yet nobody in the East is terrified of IPOB except the authorities

The authorities say IPOB are violent, yet the only violence attributed to IPOB always starts with the authorities being present.

A time comes when you have to ask, 'Is IPOB the problem or the authorities?'

Concrete discussion need to be countered by concrete criticism. During GEJ time Boko Haram were in almost all Northern states but GEJ couldn't demonstrate proactive measure and north made a strong alliance that striped him off power. There were bomb blasts almost everyday in Kano, Borno, Adamawa, Yove and major Northern cities, they reached some extent to be able to attack UN office in Abuja, Police HQ in Abuja, Suleja, in fact nobody was safe then including the security agents talkless of citizens.
PMB didn't meet expectations but today BH is limited to only Borno state and they can only attack vulnerable villagers from bush.
Protest against insecurity in the North isn't needed as many of u thought because all insurgency ravaged areas have direct access to Presidency all the time, they get this special concern to report their security development in almost weekly basis. Zulum particular meet President almost every week.
The only problem is it'll be difficult for our security situation to change as we dream due to immense corruption in the system. What do u expect if the whole GOC of Sokoto can pocket N400m meant for officers welfare into his pocket?
Protest isn't the only alternative when we've so many channels visibly working to make situation improved. We have seen horror of BH carnage, we know what we've seen and what PMB has done isn't enough but is a serious development compared to past.
