DrinkWater10:timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/university-ibadan U.I is ranked between 401-500 according to Times Higher Education If You are following Webometrics, Webometrics rank Harvard as 1st, Oxford as 7th and Cambridge as 12th. Times Higher Education ranks Oxford as 1st , Cambridge as 3rd and Harvard as 7th. I go with the Times Higher Education rank because that is what favours My Alma mater. |

While other countries are busy growing their talent pool for the future The Nigerian government is busy suppressing and killing their talents so the can actively remain a third world shithole. Talk about the tale of two countries. 2 Likes |

claremont: God knows I have done my best regarding disseminating useful information to young Nigerians who aspire to japa. Covenant University and UI are in the top 500 (depends on the ranking agency used). If the UAE uses ARWU, then, e don be for Nigerians o. There are more Indian universities in the top 500 across the top three ranking agencies (ARWU, THEducation and QS) than Nigerian. Young Nigerians, go to good schools o not some backwater university. slyfoxxjoe: Your ignorance like most Trump supporters knows no bounds. Like the say a typical Trump ass-licker has no college degree. The case at hand is between the US and the UAE. What proportion of highly skilled Nigerian migrants make it to to the UAE.? Despite the strict and difficult procedures in place for foreign doctors to practice in the US, it will always be a juicy and choiced destina.tion for Nigerian trained medics. Every family in my neighbourhood has got a family member in the UAE; most with no educational skills like youself. Gainfully employed in security and house chores to meet the needs of family back home. You sound like a financial beneficiary of such unskilled migrants who work and live in deplorable situations across the UAE. In 2020 the UAE launches a skilled migrant residency program on limited fields and it becomes breaking news to ignorant folks like you. Despite the US being capable to train and produce for itself the best in different fields, it remains the most attractive destination for the best of talents from across the world. |

Wiseoldman: Stop this rhetoric. When you say something is coming to and end, supply what will rakeover to complete your argument soundly. Nigerian government will still be earning handsomely from oil till you die at 80 years, that's 50 years from now, assuming you are 30. You don't know what oil entails. Oil supplies the electricity in Nigeria today by gas turbines. Is there any Coal powered GENCO in Nigeria ? LPG in your gas cylinders, all cars on the roads, fuel, diesel and kero.. Your life depends on oil otherwise you defrost. It's like that all-over Africa. |

I am not impressed. 10 years go by real quick. So after the 10 years, then what? No path to permanent residency or citizenship. After the arab man is done milking you of your knowledge, you are then sent back to Nigeria or wherever the heck you came from. Now, if you're from a developed country, you wouldn't mind going back home after 10 years in UAE. However, if you are from a war thorn country or a country like Nigeria where nothing works and the only thing thriving are mega churches, then going back to Nigeria after 10 years in UAE might make you feel some kind of way. Just saying. Except after you leave UAE, you find another country to move to. I don't know. I prefer other countries over UAE. I can't see myself living in any arab nation to be honest. 2 Likes |

grandlexuz: Hahahahaha typical liberal simp you are. Allyou fools are good at is lumping up everyone who does not agree with you or who has even the slightest conservative views as a "Trump supporter" then calling them all ignorant because you do not have the intellect to engage with them on the issues. You learnt well from your overlords at CNN but its a really tired shtick at this point I must tell you. Now listen to me boy..Let me tell you something. If you think you are smarter or more knowledgeable than me then we can both show each other our educational certificates and see who is the true ignoramus between the two of us. Any platform, you decide and I will drop my certificates o you can see the caliber of person you are speaking to and shut up once and for all. Now let me educate you on the issue at hand. It is obvious you are one of the dumb an very bush Nigerians that have been brainwashed into believing the US is the ultimate at everything without knowing the real facts or putting them in the right contexts. The US is a rapidly declining global power, much of this due to the policies of same democrat politicians that you are licking their anus all over the internet. Trump was the last hope of some of that damage being reversed by refocusing the US policies and resources to internal development rather than all these senseless global pursuits that only help to transfer power to other countries in terms of trade, manufacturing etc. First US president not to engage in a major, pointless and expensive war in decades. If you can't see the reasons so many Americans support the man then you're an slowpoke which I already know you are. Secondly, if you just look at raw numbers like the simp you are, of course the US would have the highest numbers in many indices. This is naturally because they have one of the largest populations in the world. That's why I always advice your silly self to put things in "per capita" figures. For example there are more literate people in America than most countries but once you put this in per capita numbers America is not even among the top 5 countries in the world in literacy. Same with skilled immigration, many countries in Asia and Scandinavian Europe attract far more doctors and skilled professionals than the US. I think even Canada does too. Again i'm talking PER CAPITA figures here because i'm not sure your foggy brain even knows what it means. That country is failing bro. Last time I was in NY wasn't even sure if I was in a first world country at all. Filthy streets, failing schools, dilapidated housing projects, the subway smells like piss and is infested with gigantic rats. I NEVER saw anything like that in Dubai or even London. They might not even be a super power again in the next decade as China continues to eat their lunch thanks to dumb liberal politicians that you support. Fool Again if you thunk i'm some low educated person then tell me the platforms lets exchange an compare our degrees now. You will soon tell me if your wretched father could afford to fund your education to master degree level in the UK. Lets do it now or you're a bastard. Omo ale like yourself. Son of a cheap street who.re. Don't ever come at me like that in your pathetic life. Not everyone here takes shit okay? 1 Like |

400billionman: Lol...food for thought for you: - What is the present power generation capacity in Nigeria? Approximately 5,400 MW. In 2019, California generated about 12,000 MW from solar power alone. - Nigeria used to generate most of our forex by being among the top 5 exporters of oil to the United States. This is no longer happening today. We now sell more to Asian countries, unfortunately these countries don't pay in USD. This is one of the reasons our Naira keeps losing value against the USD... - Imagine what would happen when Shell, ExxonMobil, Chevron and Total decide that oil is no longer a profitable business worth investing on. This is very possible because oil prices will keep falling for the next 20 years, as more advanced countries turn to renewable energy. - African countries like South Africa, Namibia, Rwanda, etc. can easily transition to renewable energy due to strong ties they have with China. China has set a goal to hit 60% clean energy by 2030, this should tell you a lot. China is also the world's largest producer and consumer of electric vehicles. Oil as we know it will never return to the days of $100 per barrel, that is the major concern. Even the Saudis have realized this. We need to begin positioning ourselves for this, unfortunately our leaders are still blind. |
