It is almost as though the saying "what a man can do, a woman can do better" exists because of Jane Ifeoma, one of the few women who believe that the female folks are not lesser than their male counterparts when it comes to doing a job.

Jane Ifeoma does mason for a living. She goes to construction sites in her vicinity to join male folks on the job. Whenever she gets turned down because she is a woman, she challenges the decision by saying that bricklaying is not gender specific, as it is not an activity undertaken by people who are healthy and energetic.

Ms Ifeoma started mason years ago, when she could not secure a better job or business to fend for her extended family. Fortunately, she now makes between N200,000 and N260,000 per job and can now comfortably take care of her family.

Presently, bricklaying has afforded Ms Ifeoma enough money to start her own house, build a store, an underground water tank, purchase a motorcycle, among other things.
