Zambia is on the brink of defaulting on its foreign debt after it missed a payment of more than $40m (£30m) last month. A so-called grace period will expire on Friday, which would make it Africa's first country to default on sovereign debt since the coronavirus pandemic.

The wailing continues.

Was Southern Nigeria welded to the north with oxyacetylene gas - inseparable?

Can tiny Fulani succeed in intimidating south of Nigeria through Fulani talk of “Nigeria indivisible?”

Louder sir!!! We are in deep mess in the country but I didn't realize how messy it was until the day I went to places that things are working. Anywhere you look, there is corruption. I don't think Nigeria will be better until corruption is urgently and significantly abated.

We have everything but don't have anything eventually

If you have never travel out of Nigeria, you won’t know that you are suffering rather in a big cage called Nigeria
Dollar at the rate of 470 against 380
Rice in the south is costlier
Borders in the south is close and opened for Dangote ,when the wailing was much they included bua
They smuggle rice from out northern borders
There by giving them upper hand to transport rice down south
Just as they did to dollar business
Dangote still get dollar in subsidy rate paid by poor Nigerians

I hate reading financial articles but this is expository.
Inherited 12.35 trillion naira debt and increased it to 31 billion naira.
In this age and time when it has been proven that privatization, concessions, creating the right environment, stabilization of currencies is key to economic transformation. The Buhari government can't do beyond borrowing.
The only plus to this government is the long term loans being granted small scale businesses across the country.
The rails, ports projects should have been awarded to private organizations to build and operate, not handled by the government.

Very very unfortunate!
The most annoying thing is that the Govt footsoldiers (Ministers, Advisers,National Legislatures)because of their greed unpatrioticm and selfishness, cannot tell Mr Buhari the basic Truth not to accumulate Debt which has a long term implications on our Children's Children and future development of country! Too bad !
