☑️ The twin Projects - Ibom AGRICON Farms and Ibom AGRICON Rice Processing mill came into prominence with the rennaisance in Agriculture by the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration.

☑️ Agricon Rice farm is located at Ekoi-Mbat while Agricon Rice Processing Mill is located at Asanting Utit Ikpe, all in Ini LGA.

☑️ Agricon Rice Mill was commissioned on Friday, December 14, 2018 by Governor Udom Emmanuel.

☑️ Ibom AGRICON Rice Processing Factory has a production capacity of 2.5 metric tons of rice per day.

☑️With the Federal Government ban on importation of Rice, Ibom AGRICON Farm and Rice Mill become very critical in the food production matrix of government.

☑️ Ibom Agricon farm cultivated on a 100 hectare swampy landmass is part of the 1,200 hectares of Rice plantation cultivated across the state.

☑️The Ibom Agricon Rice farm is managed as an outgrower outlet for the supply of improved rice seedling to rice farmers while also running extension services for farmers in the state.

☑️Governor Udom Emmanuel has invested greatly in the cultivation and processing of rice in the state as it is a major staple food of the people.

☑️ Ibom AGRICON Rice mill, processes and packages a premium long grain variety of rice known as "Family Rice".

☑️Already, 4,920 rice farmers have been registered to benefit from government subsidy on rice cultivation

☑️ Ibom AGRICON Rice mill is set-up as part of measures by Governor Udom Emmanuel targeted at crashing the market prices of staple foods and ensuring that 80% of food consumed by Akwa Ibom people are produced in the state.

☑️Ibom Agricon Rice factory also produces livestock feed known as Bran.

☑️ The long grain rice takes 120 days to mature from the time of planting to harvesting.

☑️AGRICON Rice Mill came into existence during Governor Udom Emmanuel's first term administration as part of efforts towards creating jobs for the teaming youths of the state, creating wealth and alleviating poverty amongst the people of the state.

☑️The proceeds of AGRICON Rice mill formed the bulk of palliatives distributed to the people of the state during the economic lockdown occasioned by the COVID-19 pandemic.

☑️ AGRICON Rice Farm and mill have opened up limitless value chain opportunities for the people of the state and Nigeria at large.

☑️ The complementary projects gear at boosting food sufficiency and security for the teeming people of the state as well as enhancing the Industrialization-drive of Governor Udom Emmanuel.

Please the Agricon Farms and Rice Processing LTD doesn't own or cultivate a rice farm anywhere in INI.

They are only processing the rice for now.

It is sad how we go misleading the uninformed.

This is mainly political propaganda! I live in Akwa Ibom, I haven't seen even a single bag of this so called Ibom rice. Rice is still expensive here. We still depend heavily on smuggled foreign rice from Cameroon.
