“If you ask IPOB about federalism they will tell you a different thing, if you ask the South-south, they will tell you a different thing, the South-west say they want fiscal federalism and so in this cacophony of voices, how can the north choose what they really want ? When they agree we want to be one Nigeria, then we’ll all decide on a structure that Nigeria will lead,” Arewa Consultative Forum Read more https://dailytrust.com/2023-elections-cant-hold-under-present-constitution-southern-leaders |

Why are the Southern politicians at Reps and Senate not pushing for it. Continue blaming others except yourself |

helinues: Nigeria must be restructured, says Ekweremadu How else do you want them to push for it...? Even if they do, the north has more representative due to the MILITARY constitution of 1999, which created more units in the north than the south. The fundamental problem of Nigeria is the 1999 constitution, which is not the peoples constitution. 1 Like |

helinues: You often do not know how to process information. Again how many votes does he have to change it in NASS? You know the right but choose to be mischievous and divert attention from the main narrative. Who gave the north more states and LGA, was it not the military? So we have to go back and renegotiate. Redcrafton: How are the north being able to pass their agendas across? Are southern politicians not involved? |
Re: Restructuring: Why Is The North Afraid? by Redcrafton: 10:26am On Nov 20, 2020 |
helinues: Of course they have the numbers...thanks to the 1999 military constitution. So it s quite easy for them to get what they want. Unitary system favors you northerners as you depend on the central government for almost everything. Every region should have powers to build their roads and toll them if they want to generate funds to maintain the roads. Other regions may choose not to. But in the present situation, you don't touch the federal roads. Even if you do, it will take decades to get a refund and you can't toll them. This is the simple example of what restructuring can bring. But the north will not want that as you guys see that other regions will develop faster than you. So you use the scam ONE Nigeria to hold down everyone, to operate at your pace. 3 Likes |

Redcrafton:I hate this kind of statement. Let southerners in the national assembly raise it at floor before it will shut down. At least in democratic settings, minority always have their say, let hear their say first. |

Redcrafton: Ol' boy, we have gone pass "restructuring" o and anyway, the fulani govt of Nigeria will rather see the whole nation go up in smoke than lose their source of existence. # EndNigeriaNow #BreakUpNigeria #SavesLives |
