Do not ! I repeat, do not dine with the devil at all, let alone thinking of coming to the dinner with a long spoon.
Just yesterday, the FG have agreed to pay ASUU the sum of 35-40 billion naira in order to curtail the incessant striking by ASUU and everyone lauded ASUU on her achievement.
Less than twenty four hours into the celebration of hope to resumption, then comes this law suit.....hope y'all ain't thinking what i'm thinking!!!
All na the basis of cashing out on the largesse i de see, and i smell rat in the whole matter......

A GOOD MOVE FROM THE STUDENTS.

ASUU CAN NO LONGER CONTINUE TO HOLD THE EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM TO RANSOM.

ALL ALONG, ASUU HAS BEEN SELFISHLY FIGHTING ITS OWN INTERESTS AT THE DETRIMENT OF THE HAPLESS STUDENTS.

YOU CAN IMAGINE NOT BEEN SENSITIVE TO THE PLIGHT OF THE STUDENTS SINCE THEY KNEW THEY HAVE OTHER STREAMS OF INCOME ELSEWHERE TO FALL ON.

HE WHO MUST COME TO EQUITY, MUST COME WITH CLEAN HANDS.

It makes sense. Who tell you that ASUU is untouchable.
It's a good attempt. The strike is taking too long. Selfish idiots. Tell me how far those useless old proffs have gone in d race for Covid-19 vaccine or what exactly they have invented.

The decision to sue ASUU is a step in the right direction. An association of intelligent men should be able to provide an alternate solution to their problems. Repeated actions will only produce the same results.

They re always on strike.....

The government is the real culprit here. They spend money fighting people who ask them to do the right thing.

I thought they said lawyers are wise because they read alot of books??

The average salary for professor in Nigerian is #450k. A tout in the National Assembly dey chop about #300m a year. So in just one, he has more than the professor can mk in his life time.

why not sue FG for not paying workers and always going back on their agreements with ASUU??

Politics has always paid more everywhere...
Other professionals earn more than professors.
So what do we do? Keep on going on strike Untill they start paying lecturers 400million?
Even after paying ASUU all the billions they are agitating for, no average lecturer will see 1naira....no be today dem dey cash out nahh

Re: Law Students Sue ASUU Over Strike, Demand ₦10 Billion Compensation by breezeng: 6:39am On Nov 21
ASUU should go to hell.
I remember how they triggered inflation in those days with their useless USS salary scale. Since then, every sector's has been agitating for salary increase. They are only fighting for there personal interest. Nothing more

This is the handiwork of fifth columnists trying to instigate this frivolous law suit.

I wonder if they are mindful of the rot in the tertiary education system in the country. It is either they are mischievous or ignorant.

Why haven't they asked themselves why private universities don't embark on unending strikes like public universities?

Besides, ASSU is fighting not just for themselves but for the students as well.

Let's see where this law suit will lead them to. You can only take a horse to a stream but can't force it to drink water. N10b my foot!

This is an exercise in futility.

It is not all suit that ends with compensation. When a nation is so enlightened to challenge institutional recklessness legally, that is the only way such a nation will develop. Even our govt and various organizations know that an average Nigerian will put his matter at the feet of the Lord instead to go to court. More reasons they ride is rough shod.

Applaud the efforts of the association for testing the law.
