jneutron4000: You have been largely correct in your assertions, but let me correct some things: 1. Governors in other regions are not better than those in the East. They are all the same. Thrives! 2. The SE is not less developed than any other region. Lagos is great (by Nigerian standards) and minus Lagos the SW isn't better than the SE. Minus Abuja the whole north isn't better than the SE. Those who have travelled or lived in all these regions, like myself, will easily say the same thing. 3. The conclusion is that most leaders in Nigeria are thy same thing. Your governor takes his to buy money property in Dubai or the Americas is the same as Rochas foolishly building skill acquisition center in Abuja. Same same; no difference! 4. Finally, if Nigeria were to be indeed a United country, investing anywhere shouldn't have been a problem. But in the present circumstance, it is foolishness to invest so much in other regions heavily because in the event of trouble those investments may be confiscated. 1 Like |

The university which Okorocha’s government built in his village is decaying because of too much “Ndi ufu obi “ in Imo state public and leadership circle. |

ProsperChild: Picking persons from rural areas to Okorocha’s skill center in Abuja, according to him. His Imo West Senatorial zone has the most rural places in the east. Let him come home and pick from here. He left every community in his senatorial district rural with no useful development project after he governed Imo state for 8 years. He boasted that he was building capital city of Imo state. 1 Like |

Rugaria: Bolded: You are very deceptive in the bolded paragraph above. The university is not property of Okorocha but you wish it is, all because many people from Owerri area would not want IMSU be extended to that university as proposed. It’s property of IMSG. The structures in the university have been completed long ago. Bede, stop deceiving the public. Can a seating state governor build and own a university? 1 Like |

Rugaria: What more do you know about Eastern Palm university than IMSG led by Imo professors who established that the university is property of IMSG? Okorocha has never publicly disputed what the professors established. You people with your loud and negative propaganda want to rot away a university registered with the National Universities Commission as Imo state government university? All because you don’t want any development outside Owerri zone in Imo state. After, you people will claim that Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe zones belong to the same Imo state? Tell the public what you know about Eastern Palm university; or stop your propaganda of falsehood. 1 Like |

kikake: I'm not from Owerri and not from okigwe zone! You see why you shouldn't jump into hasty conclusions? And irrespective of what the imo state government is saying now, that university was started as the new imo state University but ultimately changed to Rochas university when sick minds in Owerri started petty politics and then into some sort of joint ownership after the heat became intense on how you biuld a private university on lands appropriated as state investments... Now, he seem to have been bullied by his perennial political opponents to contemplate surrendering the whole edifice to the Imo state government since not doing so will have him up against gigantic corruption case. The rest they say is history. . Not interested in that mundane squabbles. Just frustrated with a governor that came in with overwhelming goodwill but always found it hard to finish projects started. Littering the whole state with very irritating numbers of substandard projects. What happened to the "hospitals in every local government" in imo state? 1 Like |

Rugaria: To enable whatever tertiary education institutions he establishes now to stay after he leaves office, governor Hope Uzodinma has to put Eastern Palm university to use. Like you said, it was the petty politics of Owerri which made Okorocha devise the private/government ownership plot in order to continue to use state funds to build what he later called Eastern Palm university. It’s not known where else private/government ownership of university exists. Like you rightly observed, Okorocha or his associates cannot lay any claim to the university, for fear of its corrupt practices implications. 1 Like |
