The same Mt Vesuvius where Claudius Glaber and his men from Rome cornered Spartacus and his slave army in 72BC.

Everyone thought it was their end as there was no other exit. The plan was to wait till hunger frustrated Spartacus and his men to the point that they had no other choice but starve or leave and meet their inevitable end at the hands of Glaber.

What they didn't know was that Spartacus was too wise and too fûcking intelligent to die like that. His people used vines growing on the Vesuvius to make ropes, climbed down the other side of the mountain and viciously attacked Glaber's forces in a surprise attack. It was a beautiful victory for Spartacus and his men.

A hundred years later, eruptions from the mountain would destroy major cities of Rome like Pompeii.

One was probably a man of high status between age 30 and 40 and still bore a wollen cloak under his neck. While the other between age 18-23 wore a tunic dress and had a number of crushed vertebrae indicating he has been a slave who did heavy labour. Their bodies were found in ash 6.5ft below.
