The Presidential bid of the Congress for Progressive Change presidential aspirant, General Muhammadu Buhari got a big boost as the National Association of the Nigerian Students (NANS) pledged the votes of Nigerian students to him and his running mate, Pastor Tunde Bakare.
At the capacity hall of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, venue of the official inauguration of the campus coordinators of Presidential Campaign Council of the General Muhammadu Buhari, the NANS President represented by Comrade Akingbade Emmanuel, stated that the decision was borne out of a desire to have a capable hand in the presidency.

He asserted that by the track records of Buhari and Bakare, there are strong and verifiable indications that they are strong believers in the youth and especially students of the country.

He further stated that having gone through the manifestoes of all the candidates, only the CPC candidate gave a clear cut commitment to education and a comprehensive empowerment of the teeming unemployed Nigerian youths.

The event, which was witnessed by invited party leaders from the South West states, had in attendance Presidents of the Students Union Government of the University of Ilorin, OAU, UniLag, UniZik, ABSU, UNIBEN, Offa Polytechnic, College of Education Lafiagi, IBB University Lapai, Covenant and Fountain Universities.
