The problem is that North already have Organizational advantage.

How do you get South to come together and get all these things without the Nigerian government sending in the army or the parties sending in saboteurs.

A single Southern Nigeria is not practical.

There will be 3 Countries

Biafra Republic
Niger Delta Republic
Omoluabi Republic

We are still one Country and a War monger is already broadcasting on live Radio orders for his boys to attack Lagos and Rivers States and also killl their Governors.

Very good question.

Who is Nigerian Army? Are there no southerners in Army? Are there no army depots and armouries in South?

In 67 returning soldiers to East left their weapons behind because they had to disguise to escape. Meanwhile northers in East left back to north with their weapons. Lessons learnt!

Saboteurs exist now because they see privilege is leaned favorably to north. If you disable the privilege going to north those same saboteurs can be bought and used as double agents against north.

I dont know of any SELF-WILLED SOUTHERNER that will turn down this idea of a Southern Federation. It is a first step-down from Nigerian Amalgamation.
It is reversing the damage of 1914.

Desires for further division and stand alone is much more feasible after de-amalgamation and we dumped the name Nigeria from our new league.

Lets be real. Put sentiments aside.

Your governors are calling out military and using firepower to kill citizens in your presense and live, and is ok. But a broadcast that has no effect is causing you sleepless nights. You can deceive yourself, you cant deceive sharp and smart minds.

I shall remain in Nigeria Instead of federated southern Nigeria. Anything short of Republic of Igbo land, count me out.

Hope you guys are aware that North are yet to call for Northern unity yet you Southerners are already blaming them for all your woes.

Btw, is it that some of you people don't have faith/confident of power returning to one of the Southern region in 2023?
No part of Nigeria is united. Everything is held together by a loose thread of alliance.

What we call Sovereign Nigeria is just an amalgamation of alliances, nothing more. Those alliances can shift and rebundle with new claims tied to needs and iinterests.

We need to drop the name Nigeria and walk away from it.

What is common to South?

1 Atlantic Ocean
2 Coral Beads

Federation of Atlantic Union
Federation of Coral States

Any input?
Coral states sounds cool

AsiwajuNdigbo:
1. You cry that the constitution was not consented and does not represent you. So why do you obey a document that subordinates you and make north superior?

Start defying rules and guidelines of the constitution. Eliminate a rule that subordinates you.

2. North is not interested in a restructured Nigeria. Why must they first show interest for you to act?

Form a Federation of Southern Nigeria. There are three zones in South, form a regional govt for each, Sw, Ss, Se, these are the federating units of a Republic of Southern Nigeria. The three regions draft a federal constitution with clause of referendum and secession. Each region also have its independent constitution.

Make a Army, Air Force and Navy of Southern Nigeria. Each region police its territory and you have a Southern Nigeria Civil Defense at the Federation level.

Create three Political Capitals - Ibadan, Calabar and Enugu.

Create three Commercial Capitals - Lagos, PortHarcourt and Onitsha.

Create three Cultural Capitals - Ife, Benin and Arochukwu.

Create three Ivory Capitals - Akure, Warri, Imo

3. All resources Nigeria subsists on are in South. Why do you have to go beg north to allow you privilege use of your own natural endowment?

Work together and enforce a return of your natural and proprietary asset to the benefit of your land.

You have sea water, you have fresh water and yet you lack public water supply. You have oil, coal, bauxite and year round rainfall but yet are prevented by north from generating your own power.

You have nuclear engineers teaching foreing students how to generate power in their country. You have civil engineers teaching in foreing schools on the methodology for development and construction of dams and utilities. You have marine engineers that build templates for construction of sea harbors in America.

What kind of people are Southern Nigerians, that you allow yourself to be bamboozled, hoodwinked and nebuchadnezed by a scam document arranged by military to subordinate you to north?

Its time to dust yourself up and start defying Nigerian Constitution, amended or not, and begin formulating a Southern Federation as I outlined above.

I welcome my fellow "Self-Willed" Southerners to add points.

If you find this input unacceptable you are one of the following

* a arewa beneficiary of constitutional privileges.

* a "arewa-willed" southerner like prof.akintola.

This is the way to go now.
Southern Nigeria with a new name instead of retaining Nigeria. Then with all that you mentioned would be the best for us

Here is a good example to show that North has always defied the Constitution of Nigeria. Below is from the blasphemy case in Kano. They use a parallel law called sharia and prosecute citizens under its jurisdiction but many of its statutes are invalid according to Federal Constitution, yet people are convicted by it.

In both cases, our lawyers argued that the Federal Constitution of Nigeria protects the right to freedom of expression and that any law that seeks to deny that right must be void. In other words, the blasphemy laws in the Kano Shariah Penal code are unconstitutional and should be struck down.

People of south toe the line and never go against constitution. In the north they see the constitution as an instrument to put south on leash, like a dog. They use it to tell us when to sit, when to stand, where to go, where is out of bound to us. When we go somewhere they have told us is out of bound and they find out they bark orders of threat and if we dont listen they quote the constitution to us and we immediately comply. grin

There is nowhere out of bound for them they go wherever they choose. If constitution forbids they ignore it and use sharia to extend their reach instead.

Our leaders should defy and abandon the constitution in its entirety. Its a dog leash to control south.

Form a Federation amongst the three South Zones. Abandon nigeria and arewa to Allah's will.

Prominent leaders from various ethnic groups from the South -West , South -East, South- South and the Middle Belt have described the 1999 Constitution as a fraud put together to perpetually subjugate other nationalities under the control of the Fulani.
The aggrieved leaders gave the Federal Government a 90 -day ultimatum to constitute a committee on Sovereign National Conference to decide on the repeal of the 1999 Constitution or to dissolve Nigeria’ s amalgamation of 1914.
According to a statement on Friday, the Middle Belt and southern leaders made the resolution at a meeting in Lagos .
The leaders, who spoke on the platform of the Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for Self -Determination , said the 1999 Constitution was responsible for the worsening insecurity and poverty in the land.
Some of the leaders who signed the communiqué are former Plateau State Governor , Jonah Jang; Prof. Yusufu Turaki ; a prominent historian, Prof. Banji Akintoye ; President-General , Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nnia Nwodo ; Commodore Ebitu Ukiwe; Senator Aniete Okon; and Fred Agbeyegbe .
Others include Air Commodore Indongesit Nkanga ( retd. ); Ambassador Godknows Igali; Fred Agbeyegbe , Rear Admiral Geoffrey Yange and Dr Kunle Oshodi .
The leaders said all elections must be suspended so that winners would not be sworn in with the same 1999 Constitution which they described as faulty.
The communiqué read partly , “ Being confronted by the clear and present danger of extermination in the hands of our supposed compatriots in the union of Nigeria, ( we ) hereby declare a sovereignty dispute with the federation of Nigeria as represented by the Federal Government of Nigeria, on account of our repudiation and rejection of the imposed 1999 Constitution of Nigeria, whose authorship was fraudulently imputed to us.
“ Furthermore , effective from today, 18 th December , 2020, (we ) give a 90- day notice to the Government of the Federation of Nigeria, the Security Council of the United Nations, the Government of the United States of America, the European Union as well as the international community, of the intention of the peoples of the alliance territories to reconsider our continued allegiance to the disputed 1999 Constitution as well as the unitary union of death, attrition and backwardness it foists on us.
“ It is our demand that in the 90- day period of this notice , the following specific actions must be taken by the Federal Government of Nigeria to firmly set in motion an irreversible process by which the aforementioned grave constitutional grievances would be addressed :

A formal announcement by the Federal Government of Nigeria acknowledging the constitutional grievances and sovereignty dispute now declared by the peoples of the South and Middle - Belt of Nigeria.
“ A formal commitment by the Federal Government of Nigeria to the wholesale decommissioning and jettisoning of the 1999 Constitution .
“ A formal announcement by the Federal Government of Nigeria suspending further general elections under the disputed 1999 Constitution .
“ A formal initiation of a time- bound transitioning process to engender the emergence of fresh constitutional protocols by a two - stage process in which the constituent regional blocs will, at the first stage , distill and ratify their various constitutions by referendums and plebiscite and in the second stage , negotiate the terms of federating afresh as may be dictated by the outcomes of a referendum and plebiscite. ”

Now we are talking. grin
