There are many dishonest Nigerians overseas, who shipped stolen cars to their families to sell in Nigeria and repatriate the proceed to them or use for other things in Nigeria.

The truth is that Canadians use their high tech gadgets to bridge these cars, steal them and sell to Africans at giveaway price.
