With all the said accusation of Gen Gowon looting the CBN by a British MP,and counter claim by him not to have done so.But the General cannot deny him going to the National Museum to loot it of national treasures ahead of his state visit to the UK.After the civil war to show appreciation to the Queen for UK role in supporting his govt during the Nigerian Civil War.He offered some Benin bronze works (which he carted off the shelves of the National Museum)to the Queen Elizabeth .The said evidence to this unwholesome act by General Gowon is very glaring unlike the claim of him looting the CBN. |
