What app did you download that it failed? What particular language are you trying to learn? Any prior experience with coding?

There are some apps depending on the programming language, but I wouldn't advise you to use phone as this limits the scope and usability

I never insinuated that coding can only be done at the beginner level, I could see through op's post that he's a beginner and he was asking if he could use a phone cos he apparently wasn't sure if he could pull that off.

And yeah of course my first django-react project was built using my phone

Phone is a good starting point especially when you don't have a laptop yet and have a burning desire.

I am a beginner at the coding world.
I would love to learn app development.
but I don't have a laptop and I don't think i can ever get one for now in this period and lack of budget.
so pls recommend some good apps for me.
I have Acode text editor but issue is dat after writing the codes, how do I execute what I have to action?

The reason I can't blindly recommend a code editor for you is because some code editors are specifics for some languages.

Some might run HTML, CSS only.

Some might just run Java only.

Some might run python only.

That is why you need to mention the particular language you already know about.

Expatriate on that app development, is it web application or mobile application development.
Almost everything is an app these days.

Java: JavaIDEdroid, Java Editor, DroidEdit, Dcoder, Anacode IDE etc.

Python: pydroid 3, Acode, dcoder, programming hub, spck code editor etc.

Now these are for Android but I can bet it you'll get many of these apps on windows and Apple store as well.


A friendly advice, stick to either Java or python for now.

Spck editor is the best I've tested amongst all of these. In fact I recommend it for anything web development on phone

it depends on which programming language you use, I use pydroid3 for python , and I known of Java n ide for Java, they are all available on playstore

You're very wrong here. In fact, the opposite is the case. You need to be a pro to successfully code and deploy applications with phone.

I have executed 300K job with my phone. From start to finish.
I rarely code with laptop these days.
I even code desktop/mobile apps with my phone and test run with online emulators.

Even while sleeping on my bed I'm still coding. In fact, I sleep on my phone most nights

You don't want to. It's exhausting and less effective.
