IPPB has become the single most significant platform in the nation for providing interoperable banking solutions to the Clients

To avail these services, a client with an Aadhaar connected account can authenticate his/her individuality with a fingerprint scan.

India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) on Monday said it has rolled out Aadhaar enabled payment system (aeps) services. For this, IPPB has become the single most significant platform in the nation for providing interoperable banking solutions to the clients of any lender. Union Minister for Communications and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad today announced the rollout of all AePS providers on IPPB's anniversary.

Things to Learn about IPPB's AePS solutions


1) Together with AePS solutions, any individual who has a bank account connected to Aadhaar can do essential banking services such as cash withdrawals and balance enquiry no matter the bank they maintain their accounts with.

2) To avail those Aadhaar enabled payment solutions, a client can only authenticate his/her individuality with a fingerprint scan and Aadhaar authentication to complete a transaction.

3) Talking at the launching of AePS solutions, Ravi Shankar Prasad said, "With IPPB's AePS Services, we finally can offer interoperable doorstep banking solutions to clients of any bank such as the 34 crores Jan Dhan account holders, by minding the unprecedented last-mile advantage of IPPB. This satisfies PM Narendra Modi's vision put forth in the time of launching of IPPB a year of ushering in economic transformation by attracting banks into the doorsteps of their villagers and weak. I need IPPB and its management all of the success in its future expansion travel."

4) A.N. Nanda, Secretary, Department of Posts, stated, "The launching of AePS by India Post Payments Bank enriches the previous mile interoperable banking infrastructure by 2.5 times. The system brings doorstep banking accessibility to countless underbanked clients and provides a new impetus to the addition of consumers facing access challenges in the standard banking ecosystem."

5) Suresh Sethi, Managing Director and CEO, India Post Payments Bank, stated, "With the launching of AePS solutions, IPPB has become the single biggest interoperable platform from the nation. By leveraging AePS, clients are now able to access their account with any bank simply by using their fingerprint for cash withdrawal and balance enquiry right at their doorstep via the Postmen and GDS."

6) Dilip Asbe, Managing Director and CEO, National Payments Corporation of India stated, "IPPB's integration with AePS might be a new dawn in the domain of financial inclusion. AePS is moving ahead in enabling all parts of the society by making financial services accessible to individuals from the possible locations."

7) IPPB's solutions are now available across over 136,000 Post Offices and delivered by over 195,000 Postmen and GDSs. The capability of this Postmen and GDS to achieve each village on a nearly daily basis has brought down the space to get banking solutions to'0 km'.
