Qantas Chief Executive Alan Joyce fears that, despite the availability of vaccine, international travel will be on hold until at least July next year.

On Thursday morning, the flying kangaroo airline issued a trading update.

'International travel is likely to be at a virtual standstill until July next year at least, and it will take years to completely recover, which means that in the meantime, we are bearing the overhead for aircraft worth billions of dollars,' Mr. Joyce said.
