Following Boko Haram terrorists claim that they are responsible for the massacre of innocent farmers in a rice plantation in Kwashabe village, last weekend, the Defence Headquarters has urged Nigerians not to be afraid of them.

The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, John Enenche, who started this while giving update on the operation of the armed forces between November 26 and December 2, on Thursday, in Abuja.

The terrorists had on Tuesday, released a video claiming that they carried out the massacre in retaliation for the arrest of one of them by the farmers.

They also claimed that the farmers had also given information on their movement in the area to the military.

Mr Enenche said the claim was the practice of the sect with the sole motive of instigating fear in the minds of the people to discourage them from cooperating with the security agencies.

He said that the information received by the military from one of the survivors revealed that the farmers were called for a meeting with the terrorists on the sad day before they were slaughtered.

“The truth is that whenever they are losing ground as a result of the military activities, this is what they resort to.

“It is a fallacy that because we killed one of them and that the farmers gave information about them; but the likelihood is wickedness.

“They want to use that to instill fear in the minds of the people because they have seen the governor trying to make sure that people return to their homes,” he said.

Mr Enenche said the claim was the usual propaganda of the terrorist, adding that it is one of their major weapons.

“Our message here to the general public is that they should not be discouraged and that we are moving forward and with your cooperation we are going to end this menace,” he said.

Mr Enenche said the military had sustained its onslaught against the terrorists through both ground and air offensives across the theatre of operation.

He said the troops had raided some of the identified hideouts of the terrorists killing scores during the week and recovered cache of arms and ammunition.

They always have something ready to say

Beware Nigerians. This is the time to know and understand the true identity of those who cause tribalism on here, they are paid agents, they are neither from east or west. They have more than twenty monikers, they would create tribal related topics and make tribal comments with different monikers to cause chaos between southerners. Though, they have no conscience but you can try to educate them or better ignore them. They are easy to identify, use your head brothers.

They dominate this platform. They are evil and restless until their aim is achieved.

Are you satisfied with the status quo of this country? Nigerian youths, prepare to make this country a better one, don't be silent, speak up. Enlightened your neighbors, community about the situation of this country, educate them about their right to demad good governance from their local representatives to the national level. They can't kill us all. You may think you are comfortable now but remember the monsters the bad government policies are making, the hungry masses would search for survival by all means, they won't mind hurting others for survival. The comfortable innocent people who refused to speak against evil would also feel the heat.
