[size=14pt]Emirs leave palaces as Buhari visits…In Nasarawa State – Daily Trust[/size]

Three first class emirs in Nasarawa State hurriedly deserted their palaces yesterday when the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) presidential candidate General Muhammadu Buhari arrived in the state for a campaign rally and attempted to pay them visits.

[size=14pt]The Emir of Lafia Alhaji Mustapha Agwai II, his Keffi counterpart Alhaji Muhammadu Chindo Yamusa as well as the emir of Nasarawa Alhaji Hasan Ahmed II were all nowhere to be found when Buhari arrived at their respective palaces[/size].

Buhari was in Nasarawa State for his North-Central state-by-state presidential rally. The CPC leader and his entourage that included the party’s governorship candidate in the state Alhaji Umaru Tanko Al-Makura arrived the emir of Lafia’s palace around 3 pm but the palace was locked with nobody to receive them. A CPC official in the state told Daily Trust that “we had earlier written a letter to the Emir intimating him of Buhari’s courtesy call. But the emir wrote to us saying he won’t receive Buhari because of his ill-health.”

Earlier in the day, Buhari’s entourage was also in Nasarawa town. When they arrived around 10 am, the emir refused to meet with the CPC presidential entourage. Daily Trust saw angry youths shouting “Sarki ya gudu,” meaning “the emir has ran away.” It was a similar incident in Keffi, when Buhari visited Emir Yamusa. The gate to the palace was locked when Buhari and his supporters arrived. Youthful CPC supporters were also seen shouting “Sarki ya gudu, sarki ya ji tsoro.”

You may be right! The way the almajiri's were screaming “Sarki ya gudu,” (“the emir has run away”), it would seem they were actually planning to beat them up. Poor Emirs had to run for dear life!

Buhari is finished as a contestant in this election. That NN24 debate sealed his fate as a no-hoper, and showed him to be grossly unqualified to lead this country. Thanks to the emirs for finally seeing reason.

On the other hand, the Northerners do not care which party an Emir belongs to, so far as it is Mai Gaskiya (Buhari), the dead is sealed.

Emir's have been paid off or are scared of being told by their people they are not wanted. . .

They ran out of their palace because Nasarawa State Governor Aliyu Akwe Doma Threatened to dethrone any Emir that welcomes Buhai in his domain!

@beaf Buhari doesnt need the emirs to welcome him casue the crowd that welcomed him will make GEJ green with envy anyday!

Anyway its no secret that Nasarawa State is for Buhari! All the PDP candidates in Nasarawa State are jittery now because CPC has taken over the state!

Even the governor is scared that Almakura - The CPC candidate will remove him from the state house come April!
