When you ask most people, "Who is the most powerful person on earth?" Most answers you would get is "Donald Trump, the USA President."

Well, truly, the USA is the most powerful nation on earth today and its president is a very powerful person. However as powerful as he or she may be physically , in the spiritual realm, their power is severely limited.

When it comes to determining spiritual POWER, the Holy Spirit, not the American president is the most POWERFUL person on earth today.

Firstly, we must understand that the Holy Spirit is not an "it". He is a real person with emotions. He can get joyful, sad, angry, etc. just like God the father and God the son.

He can be grieved by our words and actions (Ephesians 4:30)

He groans deeply when He makes intercession for us. (Romans 8:26)

He fellowships with us like a close friend (Philippians 2:1)

He can be resisted. (Acts 7:51)

He can be lied against. (Acts 5:3)

He can be silenced. (1 Thessalonians 5:19)

He can be blashemed against. (Mark 3:29)

He gives instructions. (Acts 13:2)

We can go on and on in describing the person of the Holy Spirit.

It's unfortunate that we refer to the Holy Spirit today, the first thing that comes to most minds is a flying white dove. Many people see the Holy Spirit as a gentle dove flapping away in the skies.

The white dove is just one of the many symbols of the person of the Holy Spirit. He is peaceful and gentle, but very powerful.

He came in as a strong powerful wind on the day of Pentecost. (Acts 2:2)

He came powerfully on Samson and the ropes on him melted like wax. (Judges 15:14)

He powerfully caught away Philip and relocated him. (Acts 8:39-40)

He empowers believers to perform mighty signs and wonders. (Romans 15:19)

God created all things powerfully by His word through the Holy Spirit. (Genesis 1)

In a nutshell the Holy Spirit is the power of God. He is the release of God's power on earth.

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my SPIRIT, saith the LORD of hosts.

And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee...

The miraculous ministry of Jesus on earth was purely by the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus was 100% man but He was also 100% empowered by the Holy Spirit.

And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about.

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

This was why just before His ascension, Jesus left us a very vital promise:

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you...
— Acts 1:8

Now if we understand that the Holy Spirit is God's power and the most powerful person on earth, our approach to Christianity will be very different from many lukewarm christians.

Many Christians today are going through much complex problems today because they fail to understand how powerful the Holy Spirit is. Ignorance is the master killer of destinies.

The Holy Spirit is POWERFUL. There is a very big difference in praying in your understanding and praying in the Holy Spirit or in tongues.

When you pray in your understanding, you are somehow limited, but when you pray in the Holy Spirit, there is no limitation.
Praying in the Holy Spirit with faith releases the power of the Spirit in a limitless way.

When you pray in your understanding, miracles are limited. But when you pray in the Holy Spirit, there is simply no limit to miracles because the Holy Spirit is Omnipotent.

I pray God gives us a better understanding of these things IJN.

The most pressing need of the church today IS POWER.

Power to succeed, power to progress, power to preach the gospel, power to finance the gospel, power to live holy, power to set the captives free, etc.

This power can only come by God's Word through the Holy Spirit as we saw in our opening scripture.

Do you define powerful base on money and possition?

Do you not know that there are many powerful people all over the world beyond your scope of reasoning?

Yes America is the world No 1 physically

But do you know that Nigeria is the spiritual world power?

Yes I agree with you on this; The Holy Spirit of God is the most powerful person on earth but He cannot be seen even though he is in us, all around us
