In a study conducted by Bright.com(a job search site) they found out that applicants were most likely to be called up for an interview if they sent in their Cv/Resume on a Monday, as opposed to any other day day of the week.

While there's no obvious reason as to why this is so, some researchers think that Recruiters are more likely to take their time to go through the CVs on Monday as the week is still fresh then, compared to other days of the week when other job applicants might have sent in theirs.

Do note that sending in your CV on the first day of the week isn't a 100% guarantee that you'll move to the next stage of the recruitment exercise.

While sending in your CVs today, here are 4 things you should keep in Mind.....

1. Use a professional email to Send your CV/Resume to the recruiter: Avoid using emails such as sexybaby@gmail.com or Youngmarlian123@yahoo.com. A professional email should contain the name stated on your CV(first and surname) e.g. JohnOdia@gmail.com or JohnOdia56@yahoo.com

2. The subject section of your email shouldn't be left blank when sending in your CV for a Job opening, it should at least include the role you're applying for e.g
David's CV: Social media marketer or
George's CV for Project management Role
Do not leave the subject title blank.

3. Do not ever send your CV in a picture(.jpeg or. img) format. Some companies do state their preferable format in the job ad, but if not stated, submit them in document format(.docx or .pdf)

And lastly.....

4. Avoid the use of abbreviations and slangs on the body of your email. Proofread and double check for errors before clicking the send button.
