Forfeiture Of Money Awarded From The Court. by Respect55(m): 8:34pm On Dec 08, 2020 |
Hello friends. I will be as brief as possible. My elder brother won a court case recently. What happened was that he got some parcel of land along market junction for those of us at portharcourt. He built 8 shops on the land after getting the necessary papers only for one soldier who claimed to be a family member of the sellers to return from duty and start trouble. Hee claimed he wasn't aware of the sale and wasn't included in the share from his family. He hired a tractor and vandalized the shops. We went to court and after a year plus, we won the case. The court placed a damage of 8 million naira on them. Now my brother had a meeting with us last Sunday that he had gone to tell them to forget about the money that he would erect the structures again with his money. This has thrown the family into some messy confrontations and he said he had taken his decision. (He is a Sunday school teacher with AG). Please learned friends, any guideline to go about this to get the money for serious needs in the family. Thanks. |

He knows God will compensate him. Your brother is one of the seven followers of Christ on Earth. Yes, there are only seven of them because there is only one follower of Christ in a billion people. Even Oyedepo, Adegboyega, Oyakhilome and the other clowns on the pulpit would have collected the money as awarded by the Court 1 Like |

If the soldier can raise the 8mil damages without/before dying, he should collec the money and pay to charity but if raising the money will cause him to commit suicide, let him forgive the fool. 1 Like |

psucc:They can raise the money. Do you know how much the land was bought? It's not just the soldier. The family connived to collect the land back. They were all part of it. 1 Like |

Respect55:What you need is to talk to a lawyer. He will know what actions can be taken without offending the law or the implication of any action you are planning to take |
