The race of 2023 presidential election is getting intense. In the light of the recent happenings in the political arena, where politicians are changing alliances, rumors of new alliances to emerge before the 2023 presidential election. With the Nigerian youths also clamoring for change in governance and demanding for a new set of leadership, if the current administration cannot guarantee the restructuring and reforming of the country. With the second phase of ENDSARS being in motion now after the casualties that occurred in the first phase, especially the events that took place at Lekki Toll Gate on October 20, the pressure it will definitely have on existing political parties, especially the two major ones, APC and PDP will be immense. Both of them will surely be careful who they will choose as their parties flag bearers in 2023. Their candidates must surely appeal to the youth, if they want their supports.

We've seen so many twists and surprises over the last few months. 2020 is indeed a year that gave us a lot of shocking revelation. From Godwin Obaseki showing us the possibilities of not having a godfather's blessing, and still win an election. His victory has indeed inspired so many people, especially the young generation who are not ready to be anyone dub. Obaseki's victory is indeed a temporary setback for APC Chieftain, Bola Tinubu and it might affect him indefinitely in 2023 election if the care is not taking. Though Ebonyi State Governor defection to APC has been seen as a big catch for the party, but what many failed to understand is that, Governor Wike is actually the big fish as far as the South East is concern, compare to David Umahi.

The impact of Bola Tinubu in the political sphere can never be over emphasised and history will surely be kind to him, especially with the mastermind plan he set in motion when he was the Governor of Lagos State, to restructure and reform the state, most especially "ECONOMICALLY." Over the years, rumors has it that Tinubu has plan to succeed General Muhammad Buhari in 2023. Even though the APC Chieftain has kept distance from such notion. But the Tinubu we all know thrive on secrecy, he's very discreet in his plans and it is very difficult to predict his move sometimes. But peradventure if the rumors are true, and Tinubu has the intention of running for Presidency in 2023, there are three men he must make sure stays with APC or else, he can kiss his presidential ambition goodbye in 2023.

Yes, I agree that Tinubu is influential, powerful and has a great network across the states he can leverage on, but you need to understand that our natural conception and birth is a result of human cooperation. We all are a sum total of all the contributions made to our lives by the people in our circle. There are three men who are going to be strategic for APC and Tinubu in 2023 election, especially in the North and South. They are going to be key if APC will experience landslide victory in the presidential election.

1. Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai

He is a Nigerian politician who is the Governor of Kaduna State, in office since 2015. He was previously the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory from 2003 to 2007; and the director of the Bureau of Public Enterprises. He is a founding member of the ruling All Progressives Congress. In 2013, el-Rufai was appointed deputy national secretary of the newly formed All Progressives Congress (APC). Rumors has it that El-Rufai also has want to run for the presidency, even if Tinubu will keep sacrificing his presidential ambition for others as his custom was, don't forget the craving of the South East for presidency in 2023, coupled with David Umahi defection might pose a big threat to El-Rufai presidential ambition, which might eventually pushed him away to PDP.

2. Babatunde Raji Fashola

On 25 November 2020, Nigeria’s Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Raji Fashola, has told the All Progressives Congress to respect the zoning agreement at the formation of the party for the 2023 elections. Fashola’s statement is coming amidst reports that some APC members are plotting to thwart the arrangement for power shift between North and South, intending to retain the presidency in the North on the expiration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term.

The APC was forged out of three main opposition parties and a faction of the former ruling Peoples Democratic Party in 2013, creating a platform that successfully wrested power at the ballot a year later with Buhari as its candidate. The merger involved the Action Congress of Nigeria, led by Nigeria’s former anti-corruption chief Nuhu Ribadu, the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), headed by Buhari, as well as the All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) and All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA). The parties said they had formed the APC because the need for radical change had never been more urgent. However, the party structure is already being faced with concerns of the which zone will produce the party flagbearer for 2023 presidential election. It will be good if APC honor their initial agreement, which Fashola has already raised the alarm or else, they will risk losing him to PDP.

3. [s]Yahaya Adoza Bello

He is a Nigerian politician, businessman and the current Governor of Kogi State. The people are calling on him to run for president but he has not come out clearly to tell us, whether he is accepting that clarion call or not. Bello, who is currently serving his second tenure in office, became one of Nigeria’s youngest governors at the age of 40 in 2015[/s]
