They better employ more Judges because this ones are overworked already, then they should also focus on laws that will deter spurious claims by litigants, very very important.

This law has 2 dimensions, on one hand it will help save a lot of innocent people who were thrown in jail from staying there indefinitely.

On the other hand some people might use it to escape trial by running off until the case has expired, especially those of the political class with sticky fingers.

Igbosere Magistrate Court. Though COVID and now court closure have played a part but we should've been advanced now if not for the opposing lawyer's antics and the court's hands as usual are tied with "in the interest of justice."

Also making Lies to The Court an Offence will Speed up the Pace of Judgments.

But corruption cases can drag for years UNENDING. They want to regulate social media but have forgotten that corruption attract death penalty in places they copy things from.

It is not only about creating deadlines & timeframes for speedy adjudication of civil & criminal matters. It calls for a reformation of the Nigeria Judicial system.
You have to substantially increase the numbers of judges inorder to decrease the caseloads on each judges. Also budget of the judiciary should be increased.
