If you are resident in Nigeria particularly in the south-south and East you would have heard the Name rainmakers or rain pushers a group of people or Persons who claims to have the power to either stop and bring down rain from the sky. They are mostly very experienced in this act, which bores the question of how exactly do they do it. Some here argued that they keep weather records while others believe they use mystic Magics or spiritual.

These men are often consulted in Nigeria during ceremonies to help prevent rain falls and most often if not consulted they will show up and threaten to make rainfall down heavily except settled in monetary or with gifts which usually include kola nut and hot drinks else they make the sky piss angrily and disrupt the event.
There are even stories of when a rainmaker dies coincidentally there would be a heavy rainfall no matter the season of the year usually leading to them been buried in a flooded grave.

I had discussions on a forum last week where someone shared a story where a rain pusher made it to rain on the 24th of December and did the reverse and made it stop immediately at will when a few friends wanted to test it out after buying the rain Pusher a hot drink.

It’s worthy to note that’s rain making not only happens in Nigeria but also in other Africa countries and even Asia countries especially in Indian where a ceremony is heard which includes marrying two frogs together.

Rainmaking according to the English definition is also known as the artificial precipitation and pluviculture, or the act of attempting to artificially induce or increase precipitation.

After all, said the question still remains Rain pushing or rain making black magic or calculations?

Pounded yam (Iyán) is considered as the king of all foods because of its many outstanding characteristics ranging from how it’s been prepared to the palatable & pleasurable feeling it gives when consumed hence the popular saying “Iyán ni ọba oúnjẹ”. Pounded yam being a common food among the Yorubas and popularly called Iyán in the Yoruba language is a whitish/creamy looking food gotten from pounding of yam, the delicacy is a gooey dough-like textured food which is conventionally prepared by pounding/beating the boiled yams in a mortal with a pestle.
