Mr. Sam died at the age of 58.

Mr. Sam Nda-Isaiah was born in Minna, the capital of Niger State in 1962, and attended Obafemi Awolowo University where he studied pharmacology.

Nda-Isaiah was a well-known journalist who published his views in the Daily Trust for a long time before later establishing his own newspaper, Leadership, in 2001, which published in English and Hausa.

He ran for the presidency of Nigeria with President Buhari in the 2015 elections. Prior to his death, he held the throne of Kakaki Nupe.

President Buhari also conveyed the message of the Nigerian government to all Nigerian journalists, family members and relatives of the deceased on the tragic loss.
