And I thought Nigerian Police was a joke. I didn't know Ugandan Police are clowns. Let something happen to him that's when they'll know what Nigerians are capable of.
Uganda wants to start something they cannot finish.

Yeah we’ll all probably make noise on SM, rant and rave against Ugandans, then it’ll blow over. If you’re thinking this our government will even bother to mention it eh, just ask yourself what they’ve done about Leah Sharibu till date. undecided

If he violated the law, he should be arrested to face the consequences.

But if he didn't, they should release him once found innocent.

Nobody should be above the law.

He was found guilty and why he was arrested but the fault comes from the embassy and the organisers

They think every country is lawless.

Shut up. Get your facts right. There was no lawlessness anywhere. Omah lay got security clearance from the police before holding the concert.

This is similar to the PMAN/Charly Boy vs Nigerian Breweries situation that happened in the 2000s.

It seems that the Ugandan promoter of the show had gotten permission from the authorities and in fact, Ugandan policemen provided security for Omah Lay right from the airport to his hotel. The fans also enjoyed the show and it seems that most ordinary Ugandans were in support of it.

However, Ugandan musicians complained after videos and pictures of the concert went viral. They are not allowed to perform in front of crowds and so they were angry that Omah Lay was allowed to perform in front of a crowd.

It was the complaints from Ugandan musicians that led to Omah Lay's arrest.

However, regular Ugandans are asking why the owner of the venue was not arrested (apparently she is the daughter of an influential person in Uganda). They also believe that the police are playing a trick in order to please Ugandan musicians and that Omah Lay will be released as soon as there is a new trending topic.
