This is actually very dangerous. Proper marking should have be done at such areas where there are visible layout of gas or oil pipelines to prevent issues like this from arising.

This harmattan season is usually associated with petrol/gas fire explosion, overheating of engine, dryness of the throat.
Thank God we haven't had much of fire explosions this December.

A gas pipeline barely at the surface of the ground...hmmm..
Real estate prices around there should have collapsed by now.... with folks fleeing in all directions.
Everything in this country is just substandard.

Good observation. Imagine how shallow the pipeline is? What is the level of sand covering the pipe? So, should anything have gone wrong, NNPC, Kyari and Lai Lai Mohammed would have claimed it was vandalized. For God's sake, when will all these Criminals in government and their useless nepotic appointment give way for professionals to do their work. That pipe is just as old as 1930 project and on the surface of the soil with such PRESSURE?

NIGERIA and her GOVERNMENT (Federal, State & LGA) is nothing but A BIG SCAM against the masses. If not for God, our politicians would have killed all of us with a slight excuses. But God is greater than all of them put together and one - ONE VERY DAY, Nigeria will look like Eden. Eden is the beginning of human failure, and man was chased out of Eden that Eden might not be corrupted anymore. One day - We will chase all of them out of sight. May God help us that day. If you know the DANGER associated with Gas, you will know that we are all in danger of PIPELINE EXPLOSION!!!

Thats why for a pipeline going through a class 3 or class 4 location with potential for construction and other commercial activities, regulators must ensure a detailed QRA is carried out. The QRA document must be made available to government officials and other stakeholders while the findings interpreted to them so that whoever is carrying out any activity around the pipeline site will be aware of the inherent risk and how to avoid it. Am speaking as an expert in process safety engineering services.

You ended up communicating nothing. A good communicator wouldnt have ended without telling us what QRA is.

Everything is leaking in Nigeria
Don't mind them, the location the gas pipeline is situated is at a very high risk due to activities of human beings and vehicles move through that axis.
This is the billions of naira these people are spending recklessly to transport gas to North.
I laugh grin
