There has been a recent increase in the rate of affected people with COVID-19. The recent increase can be said to have influenced by people’s unwillingness to stick to the preventive measures and the government’s poor planning towards it.
The previous spike in the cases that allowed for the temporary lockdown of sectors in the economy gave birth to improvement in such particular services and digital transformation of others.

Here are businesses that thrived in the Covid 19 period and would be enhanced again if there is going to another temporary shutdown of sectors in the economy.

1. Online Workouts
The Covid 19 pandemic though a negative factor was seen as an opportunity to experiment with online gym or workout classes. For several months, visiting the gym was out of the question as people were banned from visiting crowded areas such as the gym.

Some Gyms looked at this setback has the opportunity to create online classes for those who like to workout at home. This opportunity is not to be thrown into dustbin as it is a source of revenue stream and can be expanded upon.

2. Food Deliveries
For a while, people were not allowed to seat in restaurants and Hangouts to eat and this accelerated the need for more food to be delivered. Smart restaurants would work out how to improve their logistics this period.

They should be asking questions on whether they should own their logistics or delivery vehicles or still outsource. For some this an opportunity to encourage more of food delivery and less of eating within the restaurant.

Food delivery increases the chances of getting more food sold however, there have been issues of the food not being warm on arrival. Anyone who solves this issue during the period is going to deliver great value to consumers and make more in this food delivery business.

In as much as Bars were banned from entertaining customers, alcohol was still selling and people were even storing them in their homes. Alcohol just like food never goes out of business.

4. Private Delivery Services:
There was a lot of deliveries going on during the lockdown period and people needed to get items across as soon as possible. This need to give rise to people who got personally help you deliver whatever you need delivering at a low cost.

5. Gadget Repairs and sales:
A lot of gadget was sold during the period. Those with malfunctioning laptops for example saw the need for a new or used laptop while others repaired theirs. This also applied to phones. Computer and Phone accessories were also bought to make the home feel more comfortable especially for those working from home.

The Covid 19 pandemic brought a lot of negative effects on the economy and the population, it created setbacks for people but it also created opportunities for others.
