Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? A definitive answer was given, God forbid.
Followed by a question asking that we that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Dead to sin? When was that? It was when you gave your life to Christ, you were baptized into His death, you were crucified with Him(Gal 2:20, Rom 6:4).
And someone who has died has been freed from sin(Romans 6:7)

(2) NEWNESS OF LIFE.

Now we know that we have not only been baptized into Christ Jesus but also into His death as well.
And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life(2 Cor 5:17, Gal 6:15).

(3) CRUCIFIED WITH CHRIST AND RESURRECTION IN HIS LIKENESS.

Knowing that we have been united together in the likeness of His death, by God’s also conformed to His likeness of His resurrection(Rom 7:29).
Our old man has been crucified with Him, so that the body of sin might be done away so that we should no longer be slaves of sin
