There is no evidence that proves that Peter was a pope, let alone being the first pope.

From the scriptures, there was no link of Peter to the Roman catholic church.

1. Peter was married. Roman priests are not allowed to marry.
During His earthly ministry, Jesus came to Peter's house
and healed "his wife's mother" (Matthew 8:14 - 5; Mark
1:30-31 ). This proves that Peter had a wife.



2. Peter's writings in the Bible has nothing to do with 'Hail Mary bla bla'. His focus was on Jesus Christ.



3. "Upon this rock, I will build my church" was grossly misinterpreted by the Roman Catholic church.

The New Testament makes it abundantly clear that Christ is both the foundation (Acts 4:11, 12; 1 Corinthians 3:11) and the head (Ephesians 5:23) of the
church. It is a mistake to think that here He is giving either of those roles to Peter.

The role of foundation of the Church is reserved for Christ alone, not assigned to Peter. So, Jesus’ words here are best interpreted as a simple play on words in that a boulder-like truth came from the mouth of one who was called a small stone. And Christ Himself is called the "chief cornerstone” (1 Peter 2:6, 7). The
chief cornerstone of any building was that upon which the building was anchored. If Christ declared Himself to be the cornerstone, how could Peter be the rock upon which the church was built? It is more likely that the believers, of which Peter is one, are the stones which make up the church, anchored upon the Cornerstone,
“and he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame” (1 Peter 2:6).


4. Roman Catholic church portrays the pope as infallible.

The Bull of Pope Boniface VIII, Unum Sanctum,
says, “We declare, affirm, define and pro‑nounce it necessary to salvation for every human creature to be subject to the Roman Pontiff”—a decree that Cardinal Manning asserts is “infallible and beyond all doubt, an
act ex cathedra. ”


But Paul openly rebuked Peter as recorded in >> Galatians 2:11–13 says: When Peter came to
Antioch, I opposed him to his face , because
he was clearly in the wrong.

that celibacy rule for reverend fathers and popes might have been introduced after many years ,decades ,or centuries after the death of Peter. It may not be like that from the beginning.

Ofcourse Peter was never a pope.. He died more than 300 years before the time of the roman church.

That aside, the first popes were married and had children.

Withouth the catholics claiming peter to be a pope how can they convince the world that they equally know christ who they chose to always honour his mother wether good or bad.
