Today while on Correct FM 94.3 Kaduna, I advocated for a law that will forbid all public sector office holders from accessing health care elsewhere other than from the public health facilities including the Primary Health Care Centres. Our politicians and their families should be mandated by law to visit the PHC's in accessing healthcare.

Put a stop to medical tourism. Provided you are in government, you have no business accessing healthcare services abroad while in government. The President, governors, senators, honourable members, ĹG Chairs and other senior public office holders should access their healthcare in Nigeria starting from our PHC's across the country.

Implement the Abuja Declaration of 2001 by investing minimum of 15% annual budget on health. Invest massively in healthcare.

Join the calls in championing the course of #PrimaryHealthCare in Nigeria and engage in policy development and advocacy for the advancement of primary health care strengthening in Nigeria.

Communities should take ownership of the PHCs. Be involved in how your PHCs are run and manned. Don't leave the PHCs running by the government alone. Be genuinely involved even if you don't visit them while accessing care. Make your PHCs work. There're lots of areas you can come in, e.g in providing security around the PHCs using civilian Joint Tast Force (JTF) and more.

Continue to advocate for #PrimaryHealthCare strengthening because if you solve the primary health care problems, it is as good as solving over 50% of the Nigerian health sector systemic problems.

Finally, governments should be genuinely concerned about the health and wellbeing of the masses by addressing the countless challenges facing the essentials of #primary_health_care.
