I guess you’ve never been to China. Software development has gone very far in China, technologically China is more advanced than Europe and America. All what we are seeing here have been done long time ago. Emaxwell: |

TheManhattan: Great.. but if the banks have such data, wont it be easier and safer since they are highly regulated and checkmated to offer such service, which they have actually been doing with bank products. Anyways it's a good idea. |

Esseite: You are absolutely right banks already have strong brands and are better placed to provide these services but unfortunately they don't. But the good thing is that open banking will force traditional banks to improve their digital infrastructure so our data can be used effectively which will increase the value you get as a customer. |

ClearFlair: It would have to partner with banks to get peoples data and information which is quite risky for an un-regulated industry. |
Re: Nigerian API Startup, Onepipe Secures $950,000 Pre-seed Funding by VillagePeople11: 11:06am On Dec 24, 2020 |
ethicallyright: you are just saying nonsense and exposing how much little you know....founders usually maintain the highest shares among investors in their startups... that is how they remain CEOs.....one company's 5 percent equity shares can be worth millions of dollars depending on the company's valuation... so just because you hear they gave a startup huge amount of money does not mean they are getting a huge chuck of the company....moreover investors in tech are people with good knowledge of what is going on in it....it is not a random investment that promises you double your income like the MBA or whatever you just mentioned |

Re: Nigerian API Startup, Onepipe Secures $950,000 Pre-seed Funding by Nobody: 11:13am On Dec 24, 2020 |
VillagePeople11: Founders do not usually maintain high ownership of their businesses when they raise funds, their shares are diluted and some becomes mere employees of the businesses they found. The only reason some founders are still ceo is because the investors ( board of directors) are still happy with the ceo, if things changes, the ceo can be sacked by the highest shareholders |

thebosstrevor1: I liked the fact that you used can. It depends on the amount of shares you own. They tried that with Mark but Bros had upto 68 percent shares. |
Re: Nigerian API Startup, Onepipe Secures $950,000 Pre-seed Funding by Nobody: 11:24am On Dec 24, 2020 |

Re: Nigerian API Startup, Onepipe Secures $950,000 Pre-seed Funding by VillagePeople11: 11:52am On Dec 24, 2020 |
thebosstrevor1: Even if it is 15 percent shares he owns....No one investor in iroko tv has above 15 percent share...What l am telling you is startup founders usually own controlling shares in their company...that is how they remain CEOs....as a matter of fact some will not give above 49 percent in total to investors |
Re: Nigerian API Startup, Onepipe Secures $950,000 Pre-seed Funding by Nobody: 12:05pm On Dec 24, 2020 |
VillagePeople11: You are ignorant ooh, the founder of irokotv is the lowest shareholder in the company he founded The highest shareholder in iroko tv is the ceo of tiger global in America who owns majority shares. He has the highest voting right and can remove the ceo if he wants You think investors are giving founders money for free. Once investors give you money, you are no more majority shareholder. |

ethicallyright: Interesting point. But have you considered that the big names you just mentioned either simply don't understand this line of business, or the potential returns might not be attractive to them? |
Re: Nigerian API Startup, Onepipe Secures $950,000 Pre-seed Funding by Nobody: 3:31pm On Dec 24, 2020 |
ethicallyright: As a general rule of thumb, its a bad idea to put our money into anything you dont understand. BTW, I'd bet that MBA forex is a ponzi scheme, so it doesnt count as an investment. |

[quote author=TheManhattan post=97376520]Most of you don't even understand what the company does? You hear buzzwords and just jump to conclusion. Ya'll really need to read more.[/iquote] what is there to understand? It basically aggregates different financial api's and makes it easier to intergarate, so instead of a developer trying to intergarate several api's, he only needs to implement that of one pipe and they in turn connect to the different API gateways. It is basically a business facing app, not a consumer facing app. |
