Rights Of Neighbour (muslim, Christian, Jews Etc) by Realismailakabir: 10:22pm On Dec 24, 2020
All human are descendants of Adam and thus are all brothers and sisters. Allah and his Apostle SAW commanded us to treat our relatives and neighbours with good treatment such as pleasing them, helping them, respecting them, and other polite attitudes, but it has limit and the limit is 'don't please anyone with what Allah has forbidden!

Allah says....

“Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents do good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not like those who are self-deluding and boastful.” (Quran, 4: 36)

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said:
“One who believes in Allah (the Glorified and the Exalted) and the Day of Judgment must not cause hardship and inconvenience to his neighbor; and he who believes in Allah (the Glorified and the Exalted) and the Day of Judgment must respect his guest; and he who believes in
Allah (the Glorified and the Exalted) and the Day of Judgment must speak well or keep quiet”. (Bukhari)

Rights of Neighbour (muslim/non-muslim)

(1)Share meals/gifts to them

Dharr (RA) narrated that Allah’s Apostle (SAW) saidto him: “O Abu Dharr! Whenever you prepare a broth, put plenty of water in it, and give some of it to your neighbors”. (Muslim)

(2)Don't harm or spy on them

Abu Hurairah (RA) reported: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, “By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer! By Allah, he is not a believer.” It was asked, “Who is that, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “One whose neighbor does not feel safe from his evil”. (Bukhari)

Care for their needs even before asking

(PBUH) said: “O Muslim women! No one of you should consider insignificant (a gift) to give to her neighbor even if it is (a gift of) the trotters of a sheep”. (Muslim)

Invite them to islam with your attitudes
Umar Ibn Al Khattab (r.a) said: “Invite people to Islam even without words.” They asked: How? He replied “With
your Manners.

Limits of neighbours

(1) Don't cross the limit of Allah trying to please them e.g following them to their place of worship etc

"To you be your religion, and to me my religion (Qur'an 109:6)

(2) Don't Celebrate Kufru with them
celebrating kufru with them is supporting their what they are doing but indirectly! Allah has forbidden this! check surat

"And whoever desires other than Islam as religion - never will it be accepted from him, and he, in the Hereafter, will be among the losers" (Quram.3:85)

(3) Don't cooperate with them in haram
Don't cooperate in any way with is haram or what you don't know it's ruling in islam; right or wrong.

".... do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah ; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty" (Quran 5:2)

(4) Don't immitiate them etc.
Don't immitiate unbelievers in anything that has connection with their feasts i.e buying knockouts etc

It was narrated that ‘Abd-Allaah ibn ‘Umar said: The Prophet(peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” Narrated by Abu Dawood, 3512

No! because it means supporting them indirectly! it is like saying "Aboruboye" to Babalawo "Ifa agbe o oh" to Onifa and "Ebo Afin" etc. all these greetings are haram! as you can see
