Sanction Ojoge Chambers now over alleged frauds, group tells NBA



A professional group, Dignity in Labour (DL) on Friday urged the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) to sanction Bar. Wale Ojoge Daniel, his wife, Bar. Bola Ojoge, his son, Bar. Tommy Ojoge Daniel and his daughter, Bar. Wunmi Babatope Ojoge Daniel who is also a wife to Dr Babatope, a consultant at UCH over recent unpleasant remarks in online newspapers.



DL, which it's members are drawn from all professional organisations in Nigeria said remarks about Ojoge and his family in recent time have brought shame and reproach to NBA as a Nobel Association, adding that such individual should be expelled from the bar.

The group in a statement signed by its national president, Adeola Ayinde and the secretary, Abubakar Dogara said Nigeria can only be great if such people are being investigated and brought to book.



"As a professional body, we are monitoring the activities of Ojoge and his family in recent time and we notice they are shame to NBA. If truly the allegations leveled against Ojoge by his clients are true, NBA should as a matter of urgency should investigate and deal with him accordingly."



Quoting some of the recent reports on Ojoge and his family, the group said investigation by its members has exposed more damages Ojoge had done in the name of NBA, and his case has to be investigated.

The statement further said during its investigation, the representative of NBA in Dignity in Labour confirmed that the union had at a time suspended Ojoge over his misconduct, urging leadership of the association to suspend him and his family indefinitely for their gross misconduct.



"We are still wondering why Ojoge and his family would continue to disgrace NBA. NBA needs to act now before it is too late. We have more than five family and individual who have condemned their dealings with them. If NBA refuses to act, we shall take a legal action against him," the statement said.

Oh, so you belive everything to be true and you call the NBA a professional body. That wasn't enough, you want NBA to investigate him,and if the allegations against him aren't true; you already have his pictures littered at every corner of the media.

What is the different between NBA and those touts running jungle justice on suspects who haven't been judged and yet burn them to ashes?

this is irresponsible journalism.. not one misconduct committed by the said lawyer is mentioned yet a faceless organisation (probably unregistered) is calling for NBA to investigate him.. for what misconduct exactly no mention is made!
it is common knowledge that there is a body called legal practitioners disciplinary committee (LPDC) which receives petitions against lawyers and summons them to defend themselves (failure to successfully defend themselves would attract sanctions). so the question is why hasn't anyone sent a petition against the family of lawyers
they should stop making noise on social and print media and petition LPDC if they truly have a case.

p.s. NBA doesn't have a representative in the body called DIL (dignity in labour)! a lawyer being their member doesn't make him NBA representative there. he is a member in his private capacity and not as NBA representative!
