This is the edge that business/ investment will have over paid employment anytime any day.

The downside is patience, grit, tenacity, and belief is highly needed.

Being a taxi driver is not a business though. It is self employment. Owning and managing taxis is what is a business. As long as you are directly compensated on the basis of your time rather than on the basis of how much value you add, you are employed and not in business. Whether that employer is yourself or someone else doesn't really matter.

THe day corruption n fraud will be reduced in naija is the day White collar job mentality will start reducing and hard working will be appreciated

Wallahi! This is the TRUTH and nothing but. Artisans build economies and industry. That mentality of believing only those who went to university and acquired a a degree to show for it (so that they can qualify for a white collar job), can be successful in life issa scam. My two cents!

U don't have direction.

That is the problem of Nigeria, they don't go for something because they love it, they go for something because of the benefit attached

So he's saying as a lawyer he can't make 300k per month. Things may be rough in the early years though but with fast learning, he may even be earning millions per contract as a lawyer later. Best bet is to keep the driving as a side job.

He can actually do more than 300k as a lawyer. The problem with Nigerian lawyers is that they don't know how to use the internet to position themselves... I might start a consultancy niche, aimed specifically at helping lawyers make a bank from their profession.

ANY OF YOUR DREAMS THAT CANNOT MAKE YOU RICH MUST ALICE DREAM.
DrChukki:
There's a difference between chasing your dreams and pursuing money.

Most times your dreams might not make you rich but if you think that's the avenue you will use to influence your world, then go on with it.

Quitting law profession to become a taxi driver would be okay if you think law won't offer you what it takes to live your dreams.

But if all driving a taxi can offer you is money, then think again.

The choice is yours...

I don't blame him. Law profession in Nigeria is over crowded. I always see a lot of poor lawyers who wear lawyer attires that have worn out!

To make it in law field in this country, you need connections.
