A man identified as Ukeme Umoren, has set on fire the COVID-19 garri given to him by the Akwa Ibom State Government as Christmas gift.

PARADISE NEWS gathered that Umoren burnt the garri today, December 30, 2020 when he discovered it has expired and his fowls and dogs had rejected.

He said, "How can one lock up Garri and rice in a warehouse and bring it out now when it has spoiled. Are we Goat or Dogs that eat shit? This Garri is rejected in the Laboratories and you bring it out now so that Akwa Ibom State people will die?

"Are you trying to reduce the population of the people of this state by killing us with rotten, expired and harmful Garri given earlier for palliative via COVID-19?".
