The fewer the setups you have, the better... I don't know how you do your analysis, if you have not being doing this before, I suggest,

Base your bias on the big picture, check monthly and weekly, if what you see is bull, then focus on daily and 4H to suit your technical analysis and look for a buy opportunity...... If eventually you see a bear, I will personally ignore it and stick to what d bigger picture is saying, buy confirmation or no trade.... This helps me to filter.

For entry, you can go to 15mins/30mins.

Perfect your skill and look towards ftmo or 5ers for funding, after u must have passed ftmo evaluation. Building a small account is like mission impossible.

Thanks boss. Already screenshot this.

This last line I really would appreciate if you explain better.

Nothing is impossible, but it's very very difficult, putting too much pressure on yourself, also, it is not sustainable. Great traders make 1% - 5% per month and smile to the bank, mostly not because they build their $100 to $100,000 but because they manage large funds.

Ftmo provides such opportunity to discipline retail traders, if you are the type that believe you can turn 100 to 500 in 1 week, then passing their evaluation will be hard.

Imagine after passing their evaluation, and you were given $50k account, 1% profit per month will earn you $350 (70% of the profit), cool 150k+ naira.

This is my opinion.

Anyone can turn $100 to $5000. If you believe in that fine. Good luck to you. I no get time to argue with anyone this year abeg.

Like he rightly said building a small account is an Herculean task. Number one is u tend to use high leverage which puts ur account at risk. Secondly using a small account u tend to to set high monthly target. 10% monthly target on a $100 account size is just $10 and to anyone's it's not worth the effort all through d month. But on a $10000 acc size it's massive profit. I had this issue when trading my $500 acc last year and at the end of the most I was not making profit commensurate with d effort monthly. This lead to me overtrading at times cos I wanted to make at least 30% monthly. U know d story it always end in tears. I even started doubting my strategy. But in September I stumbled on blufx a prop firm. I tried thier conditions for some weeks on a demo acc before subscribing to thier 55 pounds monthly subscription in mid October made about 8% profit from the $25000 trading fund I was given. I can tell u if u know u can trade sign up with a prop firm instead of trying to grow a $100 acc. I will try out FTMO next month. i heard they have a flexible trading condition unlike blufx with very low leverage of 1:3 and u can't keep trade overnight unless u are on a higher subscription.

Hello everyone,
Just stumbled on this forex thread.

I'm very interested in forex and have been trying to learn on my own for a while.

I've invested time to learning but I've not started trading yet. I want to be very good to an extent before I start trading with a demo account and my target is the last week of January.

I'll be glad if our expert people in the house put me through. I anticipate responses.

thanks

Yes ftmo is the best and you’re getting 70% profit split unlike blufx.

GBPJPY.

Very bullish bias on this pair.
You can check it out to see if you can find anything for yourself.

This group is one of the best, joined from season 20.
As a beginner in trading i started with $21(10k) and i grew that $21 to $91 in almost 2wks. Sadly, i lost (blew) my account with nothing left because i didnt use my stop loss when i was suppose to since the trade was in my favour. But pls am not asking for much but pls if anyone can spare me $50 to start afresh and grow my account i will be greatful. As i depended on that $91 even though its small, atleast from it i can pay some of my school bill and accomodation. Pls anyone that can spare $50, i will forever be greatful. God bless all Fxtraders and more pips to us all even though i now trade demo for now to still practice.

Is it through nairaland you contact the exchanger? if Yes, you can call out the mods moderating the exchange threads or business thread.

If it is outside nairaland, hmm
If it is through bank acc you paid to,try reporting to the bank for fraudulent activity.

CADCHF
4 hour timeframe and 15 minute timeframe.
Friday afternoon.
Makes it quite dicey.

But overall beautiful price action.
You could check out to see if you find anything.

Bullish bias.
If the trendline doesn't hold. Doesn't change the bias. It just means it probably wants to retrace deeper. Quite confident we see 0.7080, maybe next week.

0.7080 is a good immediate term target.

Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by orogo(m): 4:09pm On Jan 08
I saw someone asking for education for newbies..... Well, the first thing I'll say to a newbie is that - "this is the best time to quit"

Forex is not a get rich quick scheme neither is it easy money. You need a good work ethic and application. A lot of practice and self learning and mastery. Then you will probably not start getting the reward for all your efforts immediately which can be really frustrating.

As a newbie, your mentality is probably too weak and wrong to make any money from forex. If you can focus more on trading psychology and money management, you will probably speed up your way into becoming a good trader.

As traders, we are literally paid to take pain and we are compensated more than enough. As long as our exposure to this pain is not too big, we know it will all be ok if we have a good track record. But a newbie will not want this pain. They will reject the setback and drawdown and will get into all sorts of trouble.

Money and risk management added to a good psychology for dealing with setbacks is key. From proper 'position sizing', to 'maximum daily loss', 'maximum loss' and 'account reset', you have all the tools to battle for your life and money.

As a newbie, look at yourself like a chart. Know that whatever goes up (too much from its moving averages) will eventually come down. Use all the tools at you disposal to minimize every setback. Know that 90% of the information you'll get out here are either total rubbish or counterfeit to the real thing. Be a self starter. Get your own information and generate your own trade ideas. Have no opinions, only trade what you know without any hesitation. Practice and trade live to improve your skills over time. "To win, first you have to last".

After your learning curve, you'll start getting the proper reward you deserve.

Good luck.

stay away from your live account. If you're feeling itchy, open a demo account and launch those trades. You need a break!
Re: Forex Trade Alerts: Season 21 by orogo(m): 8:54pm On Jan 08
Gold is inversely proportional to the dollar so gold and dollar cannot take a whack at the same time. If dollar goes down, gold goes up.

For those that want to invest in bitcoin, know that the market is currently for sellers. This is because the market is over extended to the upside and has gapped from its 20, 50 and 200 moving averages. Professional investors would have taken off 80% of their position and left 20% in because it is a very important asset and no one wants to be completely out of it. Whenever that 20% doubles, they will take halve away and continue this process until Bitcoin finally crashes to where it can fin support to survive. When that happens, money removed from the asset will be reinvested into the asset - this is when you should be investing in bitcoin for the long term.
