the northern part of Nigeria is blessed with fertile soil and natural resources. before the amalgamation of the northern and southern protectorate the north has a decentralised leadership which is believed to be one of the best leadership style.
we solely rely on agriculture. the north feed the whole nation since the inception of Nigeria to date.
when ever the north stop exporting agricultural produce to the south the region always faces lots of problem i.e scarce of the agricultural produce and increment of that produce price. it happen recent with onion. even today onion is very cost in the south.
therefore the south cannot survive without north.
somany countries in the world live without crude oil and they are doing better than country with crude oil.
the north is a blessings to Nigeria but the southerners may not know until they loose us.

I have never seen more sincere and straightforward people like the northerners. Feel free to call them anything but lazy. Those people are really industrious and energetic.

Just like the rest of us, those guys lack good leaders who will make them understand the importance of Western education.

The day Nigeria's north will have leaders like Zulum and Sanusi spread across the length and breadth of the region, their development will be at the speed of light.

Sometimes, you don't need a lot of money to develop. You just need to judiciously manage the resources at your disposal because you people are committed to development - that's what the Nigeria's north represents.

In a sharp contrast, the Niger Delta region is a good example of a region with so much resources at the hands of the people with little or nothing to show for it. A good example is Bayelsa State. Meet a state that benefits from 13% derivation and has just 9 LGAs, but they cannot pay salaries.

If the people of that Niger Delta region were at least 10% as sincere as the northerners, the region would be miles ahead of other regions by any development yardstick.

Las Las, the northerners go dey okay in an independent country. I once had a lengthy discussion with a friend from Maidugri. The guy told me that the only people who may be scared of restructuring are the corrupt politicians from the north. He maintained that most of their people are farmers and have no idea what oil money is.

The way north is exporting agric products to south is same way palm oil, garri etc is been shipped to the north.

It's an old trade by barter system, north are not giving it for free they are enjoying a very robust southern market (which is actually of benefit financially more ).

Niger Delta oil money still buys the fertilizers given free to the north to engage in farming.

But Nobody gets North products for free in return

If everyone goes their separate ways trade from boarder countries of choice can continue.

The notion of north feeding the country has been long bursted, north continues to be the poverty capital of the country where agencies like UN, etc concentrates their feeding, polio, measles aid to.

It is the only region that has children roaming the streets looking for people who are eating to drop plates so they can lick

The word sincere is slightly over used on northerners, a classical example is buhari that was portrayed as sincere before he became president.

That they are unexposed stack almajiris doesn't mean sincerity, just expose them to what money can buy, luxury then they would abadon the "ignorance you call sincerity" just like all their brethren who have handled more positions in this country and looted it dry.

If the north becomes a country on its own you think it's cattle rearing, shoe shinning, nail cutting, mayguard professions which is their stuck currently that would build their economy?

Are these northern professions taxable presently?

They would crumble, have you seen any major northerner tech professionals, top doctors, lawyers, engineers currently making wave in Nigeria or overseas?

They don't have the brain, technology and innovation is the future not mediocrity.

You only find Northerners in places of mediocrity and quota system like politics, and hand picked government positions.

Nobody denies that Niger Delta doesn't have corruption, it is all over the nation but if everyone goes their separate ways and design a system that suits them Arewa would be worst hit based on its zero productivity

The North separating is the best thing to happen to Africa.

There will be rivalry of sorts btwn them and us the southerners.

They would want to prove that they can best us. All the rich Middle eastern and Britain (the biatch) will spend spurious funds to them

Have you wandered why its OK for the north to do something but southerns can't do same and go Scot free?

Have you wondered why southern borders was closed and northern borders are wide open?

Guy stop talking like a small child. The food the north send to the south been paid for, stop talking as if the food is like one United Nations food intervention program to the south, as if the south gets it for free. I remember when tomato was scare in Nigeria, the like of ymodulus and some other guys had to go to Cameroon to get tomatoes. The moment the north decide to stop sending food to the south, las LA's food go cost, but importing food won't be a problem.

You guys are both saying the same thing in different ways.

His own position is that the double standard the north gets in Nigeria in terms of laws actually makes them another coded nation on its own.

How can we possibly explain a secular nation been registered as a member of Islamic nations with sharia under a supposed secular justice system.

To cap it all a sharia Terrorist presiding as justice over a nation founded on secular state
